Whistling Pines Farmstead is 41 acres of some of the most beautiful land in East Texas. As an active farmstead, camp along the bank of our 1.5 acre pond and wake up to fresh eggs from our chickens. Our pastures are rotationally grazed by our herd of dexter cattle and heritage breed turkeys, but don't worry -- you won't have to share your tent! Fish in the beautiful, fully-stocked pond, camp in complete privacy in the Field Beyond the Forest! Some of the most beautiful land in East TX, Whistling Pines Farmstead is an active and working 41 acre homestead -- that means we provide our family's and neighbor's food from the land. 90% pastures means more space to camp amongst the rotationally grazed fields. Wake up and enjoy fresh eggs from the chickens, fish in the stocked pond, or lay out and watch the stars. Farm tours available! Fresh eggs for your breakfast! Bottled water provided, trash bin available near main residence, be prepared to provide your own restroom facilities. These are primitive sites. :)

Josh and Katie have a beautiful farmstead in an Ideal location. We had a very private campsite on the tree line and enjoyed our 3 night stay. I would highly recommend this site. Excellent farm fresh eggs too!

Due to weather conditions for the 2024 eclipse we changed our plans and ended up 425 miles away. So we never camped at Josh’s.

Josh and Katie were excellent hosts. They had a printed map of their land to give us upon our arrival as they told us about the different locations. They even had an ice chest at their entrance with cold water and Gatorade we could help ourselves to. We were accidentally charged extra for the eggs, so they offered to give us a refund or a homemade loaf of sourdough bread and beauty berry jam. We took the bread and jam, and were not disappointed. We even foraged some wild onions that we used while making our dinner that night. We had an amazing time and I would love to return to camp here again. Very peaceful, secluded, and quiet.
