Cabins near Annapolis guide

Overview

More than 533 miles of shoreline greet you in Annapolis—an aquatic getaway in Maryland. Perched on the Chesapeake Bay, the historic area is cut by sparkling waterways. Whether you're boating, kayaking, fishing, or sailing, there's always something to do on the water. By the way, the bay town gets bonus points for being under 30 miles from both Washington DC and Baltimore. Cruising the East Coast on a big rig? Pull into one of the area's RV parks—resorts with Wi-Fi, swimming pools, and nature trails are never a tough find. If you're stoked about tent camping, choose from private campgrounds with water access or a handful of Maryland state parks. Wherever you make camp, bay shores are always within reach. Just up the highway, Sandy Point State Park is a favorite spot for relaxing on Chesapeake Bay. Make a splash swimming, sailing, and boating (rent one here or BYOB—bring your own boat). While there are no campsites, this park is a great spot to spend the day on the water. For military families, camping in Annapolis is even easier. An NSA-run campground on the Severn River boasts seasonal tent and year-round RV sites. Plus, you have easy access to the Naval Academy and other area attractions. While Annapolis, MD draws in boating enthusiasts year round, the Atlantic breezes can get cool. Remember to bring a few layers to stay cozy while you camp.
