We were established in 1934 and have been on the same property since 1936. We are 100% Not-for-Profit and 100% Volunteer. We are 45 min from Downtown Washington DC. We have 98 secluded acres of wooded beauty, including cabins, RV sites with 50amp service, tent sites, swimming pool, clubhouse with kitchen and full restrooms, BBQ pit, 5 outdoor showers, 7 miles of hiking trails. Bordering the Patuxent River, we are 10 minutes from Washington, DC. We host many large fundraising events every year. We are in a rustic setting and our offer total acceptance. We are a 100% AANR Club.

The Agape

The Agape is located on 14 acres and over 2000' of shoreline in Maryland’s Eastern Shore, with breath taking sunsets every evening. Pull up your RV [or rent ours], pitch a tent, kick up your feet and relax by the water. Soak in the sounds of nature and the sight of wild birds, from the Osprey, Bald Eagle and even the Great Blue Heron. We are a pack it in, pack it out leave-no-trace camping site. There are no hookups, but during your stay, feel free to patronize the entire property. The views of the Wye River from the dock are absolutely beautiful and peaceful! There is also plenty of water for fishing, crabbing and even a small, man-made beach! OUTDOOR POOL AND RAFT USE - We have a shared outdoor pool and 4-person raft available for use. Both require PRIOR APPROVAL and a signed WAIVER to utilize.

Sunset Pointe is situated on Fishing Creek (Hoopers Island), a connection between The Honga River and The Chesapeake Bay. Tyler Cove public boat ramp is less than 1 mile away for convenient watercraft launching, plenty of parking for vehicles and trailers. The Hoopers Island General Store is next door with dine-in or carry out food, groceries, deli, hardware & tools, fishing tackle, bait and boating needs, apparel and full variety of beer, wine and liquor. Old Saltys Restaurant is 1.5 miles away and are currently open Wednesday through Sunday serving local seafood dinners and have an outside seasonal Tiki Bar open on the weekends with live music most Saturdays. Gootee's Marine & Fishing Charters is 6.8 miles away with a full marine mechanic staff and several charter boats for local fishing trips and Light House Tour charters. There is another public boat ramp behind Gootee's Marina with a large parking area.

Our gate secures the half-mile drive through 52 acres of bird sanctuary before opening to 6-acres of wildflower gardens and lawn surrounded by water. The sun rises over the Choptank River and sets over the Chesapeake Bay, which makes wind, waves and endless water views the hallmark. Nesting eagles, resident osprey, migrating butterflies, waterfowl and songbirds are commonly seen along with dolphin, otters and rays. The back cove is a spawning ground for rockfish, and is home to sustainable oyster farming. At night the stars are uninterrupted, another surprise of nature, making lodging at Black Walnut Point Inn a quiet, secret place of peace All just an hour and a half from the Chesapeake Bay Bridge!
