This was our second stay at Deer Acres. Chester is always so inviting and accommodating. Deer Acres has become our “go-to” whenever we’re in the area. We highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to Working Ranch just outside Bend

This site was very peaceful! Gorgeous views with cute string lights in the trees. Wifi is an added bonus and worked great!

Nice full hookup site. There was not anyone in the other site, so we had the place to ourselves for the 4 nights we were there. We do a lot of boondocking, so having full hookups was a nice change of pace.

3 nights at Working Ranch just outside Bend

We loved staying at the RV site. Mackenzie and his family were so welcoming and friendly. We got a little tour of the ranch and learned so much. Getting to see some calves and an owl in her nest were a treat. Although it's a working ranch, it was pleasantly super quiet at night and no animal sounds bothered us. Porta potty, water hose, and hookup were supplied. Would gladly stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Working Ranch just outside Bend

Would recommend! It’s so cute and host was friendly, responsive, greeted us, and chatted about the area. The COWS WERE ADORABLE! Got to watch them be fed in the morning. The grass was amazing for tent camping (me and three friends split between two tents) and we all slept great! Would recommend walking to Oregon Badlands Wilderness trail too, we had a great sunset there!

Excellent campsite for our overnight stay! The directions were super easy and finding the campspot was so simple. Host was very communicative and wonderful to work with. Definitely recommend

Weekend Trip to deer acres

Our host has really done a great job creating pull through camp spaces. Perfectly layed out opposing spaces with an island of services between them. BBQ stands, durable hand made fire rings, picnic tables, garbage station - all in excellent condition. Host even provides sewer hose ramp/stands for waste water. Well cared for lawns also! We’re considering setting up our own Hipcamp and this is the example we’l be using when we do so. Absolutely saved as a favorite and if we should travel to/through the area again this is the place we’ll look for.

3 nights at Old Elkhorn Golf Course

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Anthony was a wonderful host. The property does not currently have running water, but portable toilets are available. Easily accessible for us with our truck camper. We would visit again!

2 nights at Working Ranch just outside Bend

Mackenzie's place is a dream! It is a wide open beautiful space with animals scattered throughout the ranch. There's a hike nearby and lots to see. Mackenzie is a friendly and accommodating host. Will definitely be returning to this site!

Weekend Trip to Old Elkhorn Golf Course

Place on what used to be a 18 hole golf course there were ample places to camp with great separation between sites. We ended up with awesome river view. A bounty of firewood was supplied to keep of the night's chill. Our stay was very peaceful last minute getaway.

2 nights at The Camp Campground

The site was clean and easy to back my 24' trailer into. The location in convenient to most all things Bend. Bathroom was clean, dog park was clean, it is a nice place to camp in downtown (nearly) Bend.

1 night at Picknik Place

I just needed a place to park my car and sleep on my way south from Washington, and this camp was perfect for that. The spots are far enough from the house to feel private, and they have picnic tables and firewood. There is a lot of road noise, but it lessened after dark, so it wasn't too bad. Also, I was greeted by a friendly dog upon arrival (Hi Mateo!) which is always nice!

1 night at Ponderosa Pine Sanctuary

We made a last minute reservation. Everything was great and a potential problem was handled well by Andrew. Would definitely stay again.

It's also perfect for Fall/Winter fun and avoiding the summer crowds. Simply stay on our 5 acre property with complete hook ups if you're looking to avoid the bustle of downtown and it's hotel prices! Our property is about 5 acres and tent spots are first come first serve with about 1 acre being closer to our house with shady grassy areas. The other 4 acres are in the pasture and mostly unshaded. Pitch a tent out in the pasture, near the canal that runs through the property. We are a perfect location to the fairgrounds for the Farewell Festival and all Bend festivals throughout the year. We are 4 miles to the festival sights in Redmond and 20 min to Bend. We offer shuttle rides to and from the festivities so just enjoy the ride, enjoy the show and come home for a relaxing evening under the stars. If coming for The Farewell Festival we offer the purchase of a weekend shuttle pass to and from the fairgrounds for the weekend so you can enjoy your time and not spend it stuck trying to get out of the parking lot!! If you are bringing an RV or trailer we have hookups for electric (first come basis). We are close to Bachelor for skiing, Smith Rock for hiking, Sisters for shopping, too many lakes to name and 20mins to all Bend has to offer and so much more!

One can quickly and easily walk to the river trail from our house. By going up river, one gets the sense of being remote and in the forest along a well maintained trail that makes a 3 miles loop with many rapids visible from the trail. By walking down river, one can quickly access Hayden Homes Amphitheater, Old Mill shopping and Downtown on a paved walking path. Tucked away in the Deschutes National Forest, just north of the mountain getaway town of Sisters, Camp Sherman (dubbed "Sherm" by those who know and love it) has long been a popular spot for camping and cabin getaways during the pleasantly warm—but rarely too hot—summer months. Popular activities in the area include mountain biking, hiking, bird watching, and fly-fishing on the Metolius River, which runs right through town. There are plenty of campgrounds with RV sites in the surrounding forest—including the Forest Service's Camp Sherman Campground. However, summers here can get busy and RV sites fill up well in advance. If you'd rather avoid the crowds, you'll find plenty of privately owned Hipcamps in the area to park your RV or campervan.
