Weekend Trip to Riverbend RV Park and Campground

Awesome place! I am very satisfied with my stay, I was fortunate to book on a slow weekend so I enjoyed a lovely weekend on a peaceful hilltop. Me and my family visited the Ha Ha Tonka State Park, which was a convenient distance. Fire ring, shower, and bathroom were all up to standard.

2 nights at Lakefront- 16 Miles from Branson!

It was exactly like the pictures and description. Plenty to do within 20 minutes or less of the spot. It was BEAUTIFUL and very peaceful!

Weekend Trip to D'Ranch at Clearwater

Tracey and her husband were more than accommodating for our trip. We had a great time camping out on there land. The camp sight was great we were right next to a creek which flowed in to the lake. We saw a bunch of deer walking up and down the creek. The farm is also great lots of friendly animals. I would definitely stay again

Weekend Trip to Selby Farm Horse Retirement

We ended up staying at site 2 by mistake but appreciate Doug’s grace in letting us stay. All the sites are clearly marked so if you come at night just trust that yours is there somewhere! We got Doug’s permission to feed the horses chopped up apples and my city girl heart just sang. Sunset 10/10, star gazing 10/10. Port-a potty was there and I think I saw a fire pit at each spot and there was a ton of firewood when we were there. Johnny Fox was a very enjoyable ambassador and his friendliness was another big highlight of the trip!

Weekend Trip to The Hill

Great tent spot. Justin even had some leftover wood for a nice little fire. Next time I'm passing through I will camp here. Justin was very nice, he even came out to made sure I had everything I needed.

1 night at Big River Ranch

We were so happy with camping here! Especially for the price, it’s unbeatable. The restrooms/showers are very clean, it’s very easy to find your way around the sites (even in the dark!). The road is easy for even our little sedan to drive on, just kicks up some dust, as expected. The host was so kind. We had a tent site, which is a bit farther from the lodge that has the restrooms. Due to this, the host even offered to let us stay at a closer open campsite since we were arriving late and no one else had it reserved. This was a HUGE bonus as we had been traveling all day and just that little bit of kindness for a bit more ease was incredibly kind, and we are very grateful to Kinser! Everything about the campground itself was fantastic. Well maintained, no problems with finding it via GPS, not too far away from main freeways and big roads, but far enough you don’t get any traffic sounds as you sleep. Instead of traffic sounds, we got some relaxing nature and wildlife “white noise” :) I have stayed at campsites that aren’t even half as nice as this one, but cost a good chunk more. This place is fantastic and I highly recommend it! Thank you so much Kinser!

Such a beautiful site! The staff was amazing definitely 10/10 recommend. They have a kids park, stor, shower area, full hook ups and a boat ramp and dock.

Entrance was very easy to find and loved the lighting at the entrance. Also the restroom/shower was very clean and much appreciated. Steven was on hand to greet us and had delivered some firewood to our site prior to our arrival. Couple notes, numbered markers would have been very helpful. Especially when arriving in the dark after a 9 hour drive. Not really any plat spots near our site to pitch a tent. Overall experience was pretty good. And I will definitely recommend to my family and friends.

It was a good place to stay! I loved how close it was to Ha Ha Tonka and how quiet the area was. I saw several deer and could hear geese and coyotes. The shower/bathroom was clean and a hot shower was perfect after a long day. The only downsides are that some of the spots are not level, the trail to the river is short but pretty steep with loose rocks, and if they were busy the rv spots would be a little close together for my taste. Otherwise great place, I’d definitely stay again!

The drive in was dark so when I woke up, I was pleasantly surprised by how pretty the land was. Steven met us at the entrance and showed us the spot, made sure we were comfortable, gave a little backstory of the campground. Thank you Steven!

4 nights at Lakefront- 16 Miles from Branson!

This spot is one of our favorites. Its so quiet and love that it's right on the water. Plenty of space as well. Yes there was moss on the water but honestly should be expected in my opinion. I never smelled it. Didn't bother us any. My only complaint is the wifi is just great. It works some but my kids are homeschooling and had a hard time getting some of their work to pull up. But even with that said we plan on booking again as soon as we can go back to the area in the spring

Learn more about this land: Situated atop a ridge in SW MO, on the eastern edge of the great plains just west of the Ozark Mountain foothills, you’ll have beautiful farmland views to the east, south and west, including incredible sunsets over the water of our pond (fish all you want, pull out crappie slabs for dinner). Expect peace and quiet here, with the exception of the occasional mama cow calling to her calf. Great spot to spend the night near the junction of I-49 & I-44. Ride bicycles, kayak on the ponds, take a walk in peace. Small town of Jasper is a few miles away, with RoadHouse Grocery and Liquor store, RV dump stations on both sides of the highway, and 4 fuel stops. Lamar (birthplace of Harry S Truman) is 8 miles north. If you're traveling with horses, there is a 1-acre pen available for holding them overnight. It is 6-strand electrified high-tensile wire with a pipe swing gate and a galvanized water tank. There's also a worked arena with small pens to keep horses separate but adjacent to one another upon request. Negative Coggins required. Prairie hay small squares available for purchase. Riding is not allowed. We have 2 horses on site that are vaccinated and Coggins negative. We have friendly medium-sized dogs. Yours are welcome to run free with the pack. Expect the usual sniffing around and getting to know one another behavior.

Warriors o' Rainbow Horse Sanctuary

The pasture is quite visible from Old Route 66, nearly adjoining it. Therefore people traveling “the Mother Road” find it convenient to stay with us. Grass is the best forage for horses, especially older ones, so we take care of our pastures, making for beautiful scenery for campers, too. Plus the entire back mile is bordered by old forest. And there is a swimming hole not a half mile away. This is a quiet and private site, bordered by a neighbor's old forest on back, other neighbor's cattle pasture on side, and you're in one of the pastures used by the Horse Sanctuary. (You are camping about 1/4 mile, more or less, from our house.) We regularly see coyote, wild turkeys, deer, fireflies, and the like. We are just 1/2 mile off Old Route 66, therefore there are quirky little museums and great restaurants (for such a rural area!). Plus we are only about an hour's drive from Branson. MO. which is a known tourist attraction.

We practice rotational grazing for the health of the horses and the health of our pastures. The horses live in a herd as they would in the wild. Basically, they are hanging out with their friends! They also get regular care and feed and so are VERY happy. You will see and probably interact with the horses if you wish. They are guaranteed to come closer if you have treats like carrots and apples slices. Our quiet county road used to be the main road along the river. A hundred years ago it was called "Shanty Road". The shacks that were along it housed workers that harvested food from farms in the river bottom. The only evidence of those shacks now is perrenial flowers growing in unusual places. The area is inhabited by professionals working in nearby towns and cities. In fact there are only five homes along our 1.5 mile section of Copps Chapel Road. The native Americans who used this area did so because of the great diversity of wildlife and availability of water. Also the view is amazing in all directions. Was using this ridge top encampment for security, or just because the view is so satisfying? The Missouri River is on the far side of the bottoms now, but has been very close historically. There is also a large spring flowing from a cave nearby. Witness the flint chips when you walk through our barn lot. You are likely to see a broken stone tool that was once worked on by a native American. These river hills are composed of soils blown in from the end of the last ice age. Being near the river, erosion has cut down the surrounding area making the scenic topography associated with Missouri River valleys and river hills.

Green Acres at Red Brick Farmhouse

A quiet country retreat nestled in the picturesque rural outskirts of Higginsville, Missouri. Our place consists of three RV sites with water and electric hookups, two camping sites and one on-site travel trailer for rent. Wifi is available at all sites, except for Site 3. Green Acres at Red Brick Farm is located just 50 miles east of Kansas City off of I-70 at Exit 49. Once you are off of I-70 your drive is less than 8 minutes away on all blacktop roads. Site 2 is on gravel with 30 amp hookup and water, preferably best for RV’s and trailers 25’ and under. Site 1 and Site 3 are on gravel with a 20/30/50 amp hookup and water, best suited for larger RV’s and trailers. You may choose your site location, but due to the small number of sites we have we may have to alter your choice. This is so we can accommodate our guests in the best way possible, depending on the size of each rig. If you are towing a vehicle or pulling a trailer your total length should be 55’ or under. We will not accept Triple Axels. Site 4 and site 5 are for tents, pop ups, very tiny trailers and are in flexible locations. A 20 amp standard outlet can be provided for site 4 and site 5. For your use is a shower, toilet, and bathroom sink in our farmhouse basement. Please arrive before dusk, so you don’t disturb other campers. Site 6 Is the on-site travel trailer, ‘Ain’t She Cute’. No Pets are allowed when reserving ‘Ain’t She Cute’. The vintage style travel trailer is completely renovated and decorated with collectibles and antiques and is available for booking. It is furnished with a queen size bed, tiny kitchen, TV, wifi, and full size, not trailer size, bathroom. The trailer is for 2 guests, but an additional guest may sleep on the daybed, preferably a child or small adult. We live onsite in our 1920’s Prairie Style home which is also Red Brick Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast with three Guest Rooms available for booking. Look us up online. At your disposal, is the use of our outdoor furniture, a large yard to walk around in, a fire pit, a BBQ grill, and even a tire swing. Our restaurant, Red Shanty Cafe and BBQ, is located in the town of Higginsville, about 5 miles from Red Brick Farmhouse. Red Shanty Cafe is open Weds and Thurs, 11am - 8 pm and Fri and Sat, 11am - 9pm.

Lake Taneycomo is a cold- water lake that is famous for trout fishing. The resort has 3 docks that you can fish off of. You can also fish anywhere along the water's edge. Each RV site has water, sewer, and electric hookups, wifi, a private picnic table, and a private firepit/ grill. The sites are separated by a privacy fence for the utmost privacy. The resort has boat rentals, a fish cleaning station, an outdoor pool that is open from Memorial weekend through Labor Day weekend, a playground, and a laundry room. I also have boat slips available to rent for $20 a night. The resort is next to Empire Park which has lots of fishing spots, a playground, a disc golf course, and walking trails. The resort is 16 miles from The Branson Landing. You can get there by car or boat. Ask me about adding a boat slip to your reservation or about getting a discount for a long-term stay. Earth, Wind & Solar Farm

Earth, Wind and Solar Farm is 5 acres. You can book multiple sites if you want to stay as a group. We do our best to allow 1 reservation to stay on site at a time. If only 1 site is requested the others are then blocked to allow guests privacy during their stay. If another person requests to stay and it is booked, we will check with the current reservation for approval. We also allow groups to book and camp together if needed (use both rv pads, or tent camp). We do offer 50amp and 30amp power options (2 different RV parking sites). Some people have commented that our driveway entrance seems narrow for larger rigs (Class A's and 5th wheels). We've had 53' long rigs (5th wheels)and 45' (Class A's) pull in and get parked with no issues. You will need to be able to back into a spot for either 50a or 30a service. We do have additional parking available for extra vehicles. If you have a tow vehicle/toad, you will need to detach prior to arrival. We do offer 20amp power and extension cord for tent campers (either in our tent or can be used in your own tent. Free cold showers available. A bundle of firewood is now included for use in provided fire pits in needed/requested. Outdoor Hot showers available at a charge of $5/person. This includes the use of propane and a portable hot water heater. Wi-Fi is available during your stay. Will provide network name and password in confirmation email. 3 firepits are available for use (firewood can be purchased). Easy access to our place via Hwy 70 (take the David Hoekel Parkway Exit). We are 5 miles from Wentzville which offers a Walmart, Target, Sams Club, Lowes, Home Depot, multiple grocery stores, Rural King, Charlies and multiple restaurants. We have a stocked pond with catfish, bluegill, sunfish, largemouth bass, black crappie, carp and turtles. There is a Windmill that aerates the pond (do not climb on it). You can fish the pond must practice CPR (catch photo release). Or you can feed the pond fish & feed out chickens. We will provide the fish food and chicken treats. There is plenty of wildlife (deer, fox, raccoons, armadillo's, birds, etc.). Deer will walk by the pond and driveway a couple of times a day. We also have a group of free-range chickens and French guineas (eggs may be available during your stay). There are bike trails in the area, paved roads you can ride on to explore, wineries nearby, a petting zoo and pumpkin patch. Things to do nearby: Horsehoe Hall of Fame, Big Joels Safari, Multiple wineries in Wright City/Augusta/Defiance, Wacky Warriors Paintball, Busch Wildlife, Katy Trail, Pumpkin Patches and so much more.
