Over 100 acres of woods to walk through and a pond for wildlife watching. this site was great for a quick overnight stay! i took my dogs on a walk around the neighborhood, there was a dog at a neighbors house that spooked me and followed us, but nothing happened. just a heads up for dog owners, keep an eye out, there were a couple roaming neighborhood dogs. however, everything else was lovely and i would definitely recommend. the wifi was a little spotty but i think i was a bit too far away. thanks!

Firewood was readily available, the outhouse was a plus and the drive from Montgomery county was a breeze. This is the second time that my family and I have stayed at this site. We liked it so much that we brought friends this time! The location is incredible and Greg is an outstanding Camp host. He’s quickly responsive to all of our questions and needs. He absolutely goes above and beyond to make the stay special and especially to find ways to make it really fun for our kids. May daughter loves seeing the resident cats and Greg’s very chill dogs.I also appreciate how flexible he was when some of our plans changed. I will be back to this site many times.

The Hilltop site was wonderful with beautiful views of the sunrise in the morning and the stars at night. The trees provided privacy from other campers and great birdsong throughout the day. The site itself is pretty bare bones so come prepared -- Greg is super helpful and will bring firewood and other necessities if you ask, though, so it's really not a big deal. Speaking of Greg, he was super kind and offered great recommendations on what to do during the visit. Be sure to ask him about the cave along the C&O Canal path -- we explored it and saw a sleepy little bat that was a highlight for the whole group! :)
