Enjoy the sounds of nature and an incredible night sky. FIREWOOD and seasonal farm goods are available for purchase at a self-serve stand (several payment options available). There is also a wonderful sauna on the property that can be reserved (go to sauna to reserve a time). Great hiking, kayaking, biking, birding, fishing, swimming, and disc-golfing opportunities just a few miles away at Paint Creek State Park and the Highland Nature Sanctuary. Amish country is also just 15 minutes away with a great bakery, markets and greenhouses. This area is home to an impressive network of ancient earthworks including the world famous Serpent Mound. Our accommodations range from primitive tent-camping to "glamping" in one of our tiny off-grid cabins. The sites are spaced out for privacy and each site offers a private picnic table and fire pit. There are two shared privies/outhouses which have basic composting toilets (not flushing). A grassy parking area is provided near the road, however, ALL SITES ARE WALK-IN (with the exception of site #1). ***Please take note that this is private property and the host lives on site. If you are looking for a place to be loud and party into the night, this is not the place for you. If you are looking to spend some quality time in nature, welcome. There are rules.

McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep. Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy. The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time. Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table. Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Tullihas in the Trees provides a perfect remote and rustic getaway for anyone. In October and November, access to hiking is limited.

Visiting the Hocking Hills ? No interest in crowded campgrounds ? you have found 75 acres mostly wooded with trails right at the start of the Hocking Hills. (easy access from 33 and to Logan) There are various places around the property to pitch a tent. There are also options for RV parking with no hookups as well as a site with 30/50 amp. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. If you are traveling with an RV, the Sunny Rest location is the best with campfire. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Apple product GPS will not get you to this location, use the pin on Google Maps.

Nearby is an outhouse with electricity and a water pump fed from well water. There is a firepit for cooking and picnic tables available. There is also a flat space for tent camping right beside the cabin area. The outhouse and firepit are shared between the cabin and tent campers. If you prefer a more secluded experience, please book both sites. There is space for an RV in the driveway next to the woods with electric hookup and access to the outhouse, water pump, and firepit. While this is a working ranch with farm animals, our aim is to create a peaceful relaxing environment in order to unwind and enjoy the creation around us. Going in the pastures with horses while unaccompanied by the owners is prohibited; however, it can be arranged for you to meet and interact with the mustangs if interested. There are other farm animals including a sheep, a goat, pigs, donkeys, peacocks, turkeys, chickens, ducks and barn cats on the premises. If you want a quaint country escape complete with farm sounds, this is the spot for you!

McKee Farm is rich in memories and rich in history. It has been in the family for over 150 years and we were told that it was one of stopping points for the underground railroad. The 240 acre farm boasts a hidden cave, wide open fields, breathtaking forest land, and historic and rustic barns. Nestled at the edge of a wooded creek, Tullihas in the Trees treehouse boasts a beautiful sunset view with rolling hills. Tullihas combines comfort with the thrill of being immersed in nature. Built using recycled electric poles, Tullihas in the Trees has a deck perfect for hammocking, an interior dressed with windows so that guests can feel as if they are living amongst the trees, and two small lofts ideal for a restful night's sleep. Oxley in the Woods is our newest treehouse cabin. Nestled in the woods with a view of the sunset, the lovely A Frame is filled with lovely woodwork, vintage parquet flooring, and private wooded views. The deck is huge! We've had guests set up a tent on the deck beside the treehouse for fun! Swings, and a slide make the Oxley a fun adventure. The double bed in the loft and the two stacked single beds are comfortable and cozy. The McKee Farmhouse was built in the 1800s and is rich in memories. It's a rustic old house, with wood trim, hardwood floors, and plenty of imperfections that make it unique. You can sit on the porch and drink your coffee with a view of the barn and pastures, or cozy up in one of the house's four bedrooms and sleep in. The house is fully air conditioned and heated, has all the amenities of home, but takes you back to a simpler time. Our campsites are all set apart from one another in various locations on the 240 acre farm. Secluded and unique, each campsite has its own charm. We provide guests with a fire ring and a shovel, and some sites have a picnic table. Hiking trails are marked throughout the land. Guests can hike with views of horses, cows, wildlife, corn fields, large boulders, and rustic barns. The dirt roads provide great places to drive ATVs and four-wheelers. An Amish farm borders McKee Farm. Guests should know there is minimal cell service, however, this can offer a great opportunity to unplug. Visiting the Hocking Hills ? No interest in crowded campgrounds ? you have found 75 acres mostly wooded with trails right at the start of the Hocking Hills. (easy access from 33 and to Logan) There are various places around the property to pitch a tent. There are also options for RV parking with no hookups as well as a site with 30/50 amp. I can transport you and your gear to the remote sites. ATV's are also welcome on the property. Firewood will be provided for free and in abundant amount. The site on top of the hill is a very secluded and mowed crest of hill surrounded by dogwood trees and the invasive Autumn Olive bushes. The site above the rxrwinery.com is a secluded, mowed clearing in the mature woods. There are also 2 sites in the valley that allow you to be near your vehicle. While on my property, clothing is optional but respect for other campers is expected. If you are traveling with an RV, the Sunny Rest location is the best with campfire. This is a valley and may get soft after heavy rain. Please keep wheels near the lane if there's any question to the ground conditions and maneuvering your vehicle, please contact me. Beautiful spot, only 15 minutes from Old Man’s Cave. Jimbos Burgers is a good spot for food only 5-6 minutes away. Spot 1 had plenty of trees for Hammock camping, and plenty of space for tents as well. The fire ring was perfect, and we felt safe in this spot! We definitely recommend and plan to be back :D

Their property is quiet and peaceful with well maintained walking trails and a great privy. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed talking with the owners and getting to visit with their cat. It was a perfect evening in a location with many parks in the area.

We had a great time! We have trouble finding spots for winter camping and this space was great. We actually forgot our tent poles so the trip could have needed a lot of adapting- but with the access to the barn, we were able to set up inside. Facilities & amenities were clean & as described. Loved watching the animals in the morning and setting up my hammock back by the chickens. Allison was a fantastic host. Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a quick stop over at James farm on a road trip West and it was everything we needed. He responded quickly and even got us some fire wood last minute. We didn’t get to meet as we arrived late and left early but it was a beautiful place. The bathroom in the barn a great plus!

Loved this spot… although we made a mistake and had planned for an electric hookup for heat. We stayed one night anyway and loved having even a short time on this property. The farm was really an incredible property. We brewed coffee on the provided propane stove and enjoyed a quiet morning on the swing by the creek while enjoying our hot coffee. It felt like a happy accident that we accidentally stumbled on a site that we’ll return to with our solar panels for a boondocking trip in the future. And If you are a tent camper, this spot is one of the best we’ve seen, hands down. Book now!

Great spot located right by CVNP. We enjoyed the campfire and laughed every time a goat would remind us we weren’t alone by sneezing. Even though the sun set early and the cool fall air filled the night we had fun. The barn was a nice surprise and good location for a small party. Woke up in the middle of the night to pee (very clean port-a-potty) and the stars were so clear and bright!

Some of the reviews are overly critical of Matt's camping area. The campgrounds are easy to get to, with improved gravel roads. The road leading to his land is mostly paved, but only one way. The 4x4 camp sites are well marked. I had no issue getting my pop-up camper in and out from one of the close to the road spaces. Kermit's bottom did require 4x4 when climbing the gravel hill. He clearly states this many times in the listing. All of that being said, the campground is peaceful, serene, and very colorful during the fall. Firewood is provided for a small fee, as well as a fire ring and picnic table. Close to town as well - you can get whatever you need within 10 minutes. Currently there are outdoor showers and a porta potty. I will definitely come back, and I'm sure it will only be a better experience.

It’s an awesome little camp ground! Nice swim/fishing pond, an outlet to charge a phone, outdoor showers with a propane water heater, firewood available and a porta potty. The property was really pretty! Walked the creek bed to see some cool rock formations, bunch of wildlife and had owls hooting to wake us up both mornings. 2nd time there now, I will visit again! I walked past the cabins while I was there also, definitely want to rent one of those, they look really nice.

We loved camping at Hilltop over Halloween weekend. We went hiking in Hocking Hills on Saturday and had trick or treaters and decorated and won the best decorated contest! Karen was very thoughtful and had breakfast on Saturday morning. The only thing that I would change is the site itself. Some weren’t level but we adjusted our camper to be level. Bath house was great and clean with showers. We loved the dog park all fenced in at the top.
