Weekend Trip to Maui Moshav

We stayed here for one night and it was super lovely and cozy! Very peaceful and quiet, would stay here again💗

We stayed here the night before we started out sea to summit hike (Kaupo Gap). Perfect location for staging, the trailhead is walking distance from camp! We enjoyed our time.

I recommend staying in one of his cabanas unless you’re camping back by the kitchen. Incredible art on property . A must see if you’re in Kaupo. Beautiful views and lots of art. It was a perfect second night after one night in Hana. Guy was friendly and accommodating.

Guy was great. He changed our camp location due to wind to make our camping experience better. He invited us to a neighbors to watch the sunset. Camping was quiet and peaceful, Guy checked on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed, brought us bug spray and other mosquito repellent devices. I would camp here again.

It was a beautiful wild property with great sunsets and close in. Restroom and shower is off grid so eco friendly but not for ever

Janine is a great human to begin with, and she puts her ideals into practice. I feel fortunate to have stayed on her property for 9 days as I feel like I am part of supporting her dream of reciprocal living with the land. She is very accommodating and receptive to any feedback that might help improve anyone's stay.

I had a great time with Guy! He’s got a great plot of land that’s in the midst of local homes high in elevation while also being right on the ocean. Guy was a very kind host and wanted to ensure all my needs were met. There are two hammocks ready to relax in & many wee grassy spots for a tent wherever you’d like. There is a fully functional outdoor/indoor kitchen that was pleasant to hang out in. A great spot to bring everything you need while also being offered everything you could want. Mahalo, Guy!

The hostess, Janine, was very accommodating when I needed a last minute rescue because of car trouble and could not make it up Hana Road. She extended her check in time for me and got me all set up for my stay. Enjoyed this unique experience. Love the intent of this property - small footprint. The entire bio-toilet system, which in turn warms the shower, is super cool. Even though the parking area for car camping is RIGHT on the main road that runs up the mountain, it is not heavily trafficked and I found the property quiet, safe and as advertised. Very nice "common room" with bathrooms, shower, sitting area, TV, Wi-Fi and a fridge.

We enjoyed our stay. The host was very helpful and great at communicating. The concept behind the sustainable campground is really cool and we learned a lot from her. They have only been open 1 week and are still building things but it was nice. Would stay again!

Camping at Maui's was super convenient as it was mostly a pretty centric location in relation to all the spots we visited. We stayed in a campervan, and had shared access to bathroom/shower, strong WiFi, electricity and a fridge. Janine was our host and she was very responsive and helpful. They're just getting started and have big ideas for the campsite. I'd stay there again!

I enjoyed van camping at this place. Beautiful location at the lower slopes of Haleakala with great views over the central valley of Maui (also: good place for plane spotting at OGG for the AV geeks). The local road that leads past the side is less travelled at day and quiet at night. Safe area with nothing to worry about. You will hear and see some wildlife at night. As I got the honor being the first guest ever, some parts where still in the making at this spot (e.g. the bio gas and therefore hot water for the shower). But the community building was already finished and nicely done. With the upcomming finishing touches the spot gets even better. The contact and communication with Jennifer was great and welcoming. She showed me the place in the beginning and kept me well informed.

Fantastic! Highly recommend. Nice and quiet, easy access, and fun outdoor shower and roaming chickens.

I loved the outdoor shower with hot water. I found it was easy to prepare my meals there and it was nice to have the bathroom so close. Stacie is very friendly and nice. Also it is quite expensive. It felt safe and quiet and the rooster didn’t bother us.

The rising sun, moon, planets and stars are always fascinating from here.
