The camping spot at Lauren’s place was beautiful and had a nice prairie dog welcoming committee. I got to see a nice sunset and sunrise. She was very good with her communication and the extension cord that she provided was greatly appreciated. I would definitely stay here again next time I’m driving through Colorado.

Great if your'e in a self contained rig. No hook ups or amenities, but very cheap, flat, and close to the mountains. Very quiet, lots of prairie dogs and rabbits. Ground did get a little muddy after 2 days straight of rain, but wasn't as bad as it could have been. Communication was pretty minimal, which is no problem for me. Host gave me a dozen eggs i assume they farmed. They had a spigot and a dumpster, but no electric plugins or sewer.

Kim was EXCEPTIONALLY responsive. I requested a very last-minute reservation and I didn’t expect to hear back in the wee hours, but she got back to me right away. Her communications were clear, concise and friendly. (Note that I am NOT advocating late night requests if possible, now that it’s dawned on me that hosts may be disturbed by request notifications). Point is, Kim was VERY accommodating and I can’t recommend this site highly enough for that. As for the site itself, it was very clean and easily accessible. I didn’t quite grasp the layout from the listing, but the 2 sites are basically together, and are at the edge of their cabin property and close to the road in a mountain neighborhood with large lots and scattered homes. I don't mean any of that as a negative, just explaining the site. It was quiet and peaceful, especially as evening fell. What I liked a lot is you can back into site 1 in a way that you have a lovely private nook with a nice clean level spacious gravel site with a small picnic table surrounded by a grove of aspen trees. You can see houses nearby but they are not too close and the areas between are wooded. It rained and the aspen leaves began falling which is one of my favorite things :)
I will say for the sake of transparency that because we love privacy and seclusion in general we were grateful that no one was in site 2 nor the cabin due to proximity. It’s not the deep woods but better than crowded campgroundsin my book! RECOMMEND

Kim’s place is magical. It’s quiet & beautiful & the neighbors are very nice. I walked my dogs several times a day & everyone was very friendly & waved hello. Snake Lake (private) is a close walk away & it is beautiful. Dowdy Lake is a 4-minute drive. Plus, the stargazing is wonderful at this site too. Could see the Milky Way one night! Spot 1 is level & tucked amongst the aspen trees. I hope to camp here again one day. Loved our visit.

Good place to overnight and see the sights near Fort Collins. Plenty of space for any size rig. You park in an open field with prairie dogs nearby. Not great for sitting around all day, but good, quiet place to sleep. I would definitely stay here again. Host was very accomdating and made sure we had what we needed.

The view is magnificent, and it is what you are paying for. The host responds to questions quickly. I will caution as the site requires maneuvering 2 very tight hairpin switch backs to get to. I was pulling an off road pop up trailer with a tundra and had to get creative to make it up. Although page lists 30 ft vehicle, i would not attempt in one unless I was incredibly skilled at driving it.

The view was absolutely stunning and it felt private. The land was somewhat rocky so there were limited places for the tent. There was a fire pit, some chairs, and a trash can. Overall, we enjoyed it but I think it is a little overpriced for what you're getting. We would happily come back but not for $200/night.
We also had a somewhat difficult time finding the place. Google directed us to a spot that was too early on the road. You need to go past Schaffer Ranch and then continue until you see the signs for Vista Point on your right hand side (it's a decent amount farther from Schaffer Ranch). Jason was responsive to our lost messages!

Camping spot in the aspens was real nice, and very quiet! The spot was a couple miles from the Village, and 1/2 mile to the local grocery. Did not meet the owners, unfortunately, as our solar charging was not working well. Had to leave Saturday afternoon, as we were afraid that by Sunday we wouldn’t have enough power to close up and hook up. Red Feather Lakes village reminded me of an old western town, and the surrounding lakes and scenery were beautiful. Highly recommend!!

Great little spot. Minutes from downtown red feathers lake. Cozy little spot, clean and quiet. Kim and Glen were really helpful with getting me a pass to fish the private lakes. Nice little spot we will be back.

Staying at Mountain View offered a wholly different experience from your average campsite. It offered the beauty of the animals - horses, dogs, chickens - all that you find on a working ranch. It offers, if you choose, the chance to observe and appreciate the morning routines of a life with animals, the feeding and tending, the necessary care. All through the comfort of your space. We sat under the trees enjoying the sun setting beyond the pastures. Pretty idyllic and unique.
We did have a one off experience. As we turned into the driveway of the property with our trailer another vehicle was coming towards us. It was a black truck with a young driver who didn’t realize she could back up and let us pass. Instead she drove off the driveway, over the lawn and around us. This, we understood, caused a leak on the property which required a crew to work on the property for the two days we were there. They were considerate fellows except that they unplugged the power to our trailer both days which caused complications for our refrigeration. It was unfortunate as otherwise this site is highly recommendable and enjoyable.

Wonderful stay for van camping!! We ended up in pretty late every evening and out before the morning began, and it was the perfect set up to be able to just pull in and go to sleep.
