Address is posted at the entrance. *Smoke detector - I will be notified if there is smoking inside the townhome ($200 fine) *Minut – sound detection at high decibels – I will be notified at 85 decibels during regular hours and over 70 decibels during quiet hours. If it gets very loud you will be notified too. We cannot hear what is being said, just measured sound decibels. *Exterior Cameras- Security gate, driveway and front door- audio & visual recordings activated by motion sensor and in place for safety measures. *Special note after the COVID-19 Crisis: Protecting each other’s health and safety is very important to us. We are doing our part in keeping our vacation rental as safe as possible to prevent any spread of any disease/illness. Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. For a decade, hops were grown on 2 acres and were sold to breweries throughout southern California. We’ve since replaced the hop yard with perennial flowers, but continue to cultivate a wide variety of delicious fruits.

Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. For a decade, hops were grown on 2 acres and were sold to breweries throughout southern California. We’ve since replaced the hop yard with perennial flowers, but continue to cultivate a wide variety of delicious fruits.

Jacob’s land was amazing! Although it got extremely hot and sunny starting at about 8:30am, our tent’s area stayed shady and cool until 12pm thanks to the large tree planted next to it. The tent itself was nice and comfortable; ours was actually set up on a wooden deck, not directly on the ground- so at night, you wouldn’t hear any critters/insects scurrying or anything of the sort. A bit away from the tent is a decent sized outdoor kitchen (shaded) where pans, utensils, and dishes are provided, along with salt/pepper. A large fridge is included. There is also a clay fire oven, which our family had fun with, making pizzas in it. Behind the kitchen is a nice sitting area which is also shaded. Jacob is a very kind and considerate host. His dog, whom we saw occasionally, is also super friendly towards the kids. Overall, I’d be very sure to recommend this place to lots of people, and we’re definitely coming back with a couple friends.

Lacy was great. She communicated well. She even reached out to me in advance to let me know about a jazz concert that was going to be in the area during my stay. The property was great too. It was very peaceful and quiet. The availability of 30 amp power, water, and the large shade cover with picnic table right at the site was a huge plus. Also, there was plenty of restaurants and things to do only a few minutes away.

Jacob and his partner Senya were helpful, kind, and gracious hosts who made me feel so welcome and comfortable at beautiful Nopalito Farm. I am an absolute newbie when it comes to camping but Jacob was always available to answer any of my questions or help me with anything I needed. For someone like me who loves being outdoors but typically prefers to sleep indoors, Nopalito was perfect. I was truly able to unplug, turn off my phone and reconnect with myself. I stayed in the Roadrunner cabin and it was perfect for me. The bed and pillows were comfortable and I had plenty of blankets for the chilly nights. The communal kitchen was very well laid out and equipped. I brought my own dough and toppings and Jacob helped me use the wood fired pizza oven-it’s a must try! I would be remiss in my review if I failed to mention the outdoor shower…it was absolutely SPECTACULAR! Honestly. I cannot say enough about the sublime experience I had every time I showered. It gets nice and hot at night when it’s chilly and was refreshingly cool after walking the grounds on a hot afternoon. I squeezed in a extra shower in the morning before I left, it was that awesome. Make sure to bring a good book because if you’re like me you’ll want to spend hours laying in a hammock reading, sipping freshly brewed coffee, feeling the warm breeze across your face, and perhaps spot a hummingbird or jackrabbit out of the corner of your eye. It was a wonderful time and can’t wait to visit again soon!

What a wonderful retreat. My pups loved exploring the farm while my girlfriend and I got cozy at the outdoor kitchen and had a wonderful dinner under the stars. The cabins are set up well, allowing for privacy but also designed for warm social interactions in the shared spaces. Jacob welcomed us and showed us the ropes. Will return!
