Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. Honey and Sage Retreats

5 sites · RVs, Tents100 acres · Calf Creek Township, AR
This land is full of history, cold springs, falls, karst, and still a living example of how Mother Nature continues to shape and shift, with landslides, erosion, and other surprises. One can enjoy beautiful views of Richland Valley, hike to discover the beautiful bluffs and falls, and enjoy a float trip by canoe, raft, kayak, or paddle board down the Buffalo Natural River! Learn more about this land:This is a sacred place, off-grid, off the beaten path, full of lush scenery and sure to delight the senses. We have preserved the land and lived minimally and simply while enjoying wildlife encounters, ceremonies, and unique experiences that only afford few people in life. The reason? Many might not take the time to drive on the rugged terrain to reach such a remote and beautiful place.  All-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. Yoga and meditation retreats are held on the property, and we invite you to experience the rich and abundant natural landscape.

The Ridge at Buffalo Point

4 sites · Lodging3 acres · Yellville, AR
Our 3 acres are on the road leading to Buffalo Point river access on the Buffalo National River. The property has history - you can see remnants of the Lynch in-ground waterslide locals enjoyed in the 70s winding down our ridge. The Baker Lodge was built on the slide entrance, with our sleeping cabins overlooking both the trees down the ridge and the slide. The house on property was once a restaurant and was converted to a duplex to host travelers to the Buffalo River years ago. Our acreage adjoins the Buffalo National River Park boundaries and you can explore around the ridge. Buffalo Point is literally at the end of our street. You can hike an amazing trail called Indian Rockhouse - it's interesting and fun every season. Hikes along the Buffalo River Trail are minutes away, and outfitters are within walking distance - they can help you with rafting, kayaking, canoeing and even guided tours and fishing guides.

The Buffalo Farm

2 sites · Lodging450 acres · Marshall, AR
Ratchford Buffalo Farms is nestled in the heart of the Ozarks on roughly 500 acres. Where our Buffalo, Cattle and other animals graze in the meadows and fields and roam the hills and hollows and drink from 11 free flowing springs. My family has lived in these parts for over 150 years ever since my great grandfather settled here from Georgia. This land has been used for may things. From raising cotton, corn, hogs, cattle and at one time my family was one of the largest strawberry producers in the state and always raised a large vegetable garden. I can still remember my daddy plowing this ground with a big black team of mules. For the past 20 years we have raised Buffalo. But the commitment has always been the same. Taking the time to help your neighbor, even if he does not ask. Keeping your word, a man is only as good as his word . Treating people fairly and with respect, if you can not respect others you can not respect yourself. And for each generation to leave the land in better shape than when you started farming it.

Ozarks Rocky Ridge

5 sites · RVs, Tents180 acres · Yellville, AR
Camp and enjoy nature on our Rocky Ridge of 180 acres located in the Ozark Mountains. Located along the scenic route highway 14 with several attractions and downtown located nearby. The property is mostly dense forest with lots of rock formations and bluffs with a spring fed creek that has several medium and small waterfalls that surround the property on 3 sides. The creek travels 3 miles from our property and empties into Bull Shoals Lake. Bull Shoals is a short 6 mile drive from the property. The land is home to a variety of wildlife, including deer, turkey, bobcats, turtles, squirrels, and though we have never seen any black bear, we have been told they are here. Please be aware that along with all the wonders of wildlife, there may also be, ticks, mosquitoes, deer flies, snakes and other not so nice wildlife. Sit back and relax while you watch nature, beautiful sunrises, sunsets and stargaze at the beautiful night sky. We hope you will enjoy visiting as much as we enjoy living in this natural wonder of nature. Enjoy the remote wilderness while being just 10 minutes from town. Some of the most popular tourist attractions include: -Bulls Shoals Lake, a popular fishing destination, famous for its white large-mouth and spotted bass populations. creek side camping

4 sites · Tents40 acres · Marshall, AR
Learn more about this land: Creek side camping along Calf creek or hammock camp anywhere ya want. FIRST THE WARNINGS: 1................ THE ROAD IN IS STEEP AND ROUGH. 4X4 NOT Absolutely NECESSARY BUT highly RECOMENDED. Any high clearance vehicle will make it. like 2 wheel drive trucks, awd vans or suvs. but safety first and take it slow. Street sedans will bottom out and you may get stuck. My friends Camri made it in and out but he scraped the frame alot and it broke his front valence. 2............... This is primitive camping. in the bottom of the valley... sites marked 1,2 and 3 offer larger flat areas for several tents and hammocks. but they have not had trails FULLY cut to them so you have to pick your way through SOME bramble vines to them. Its not too difficult though . Once in though, you will see why the were picked. Off road parking areas for 1 and 3 have not been established yet. So you will have to park along road an walk your gear in. 3................. if it rains heavily for long periods, like all day and night and again the next day.... site 1 could flood . be prepared to move to higher ground. Base camp and site 2 will be safe but might get cut off from scenic drive. because Both Calf creek and Magic Springs feeder stream WILL swell and might trap you there for a day or so until the water goes down. Just be aware of the forcast. SITE DESCRIPTIONS: Site 1 is the closest to Calf creek and the lowest in elevation, with some real nice spruce and large pine trees around the site. A nice site for creek views and easy water access. but you have to carry your gear in past the initial brush from the road. If you take a right at Strike Back road and it will take you across Magic Spring feeder. Follow the road around to the high spot and you will see an old logging road spur off into the woods. there is room to maneuver a cpl of trucks in there and get off the road itself. and you will be at what i call Base Camp. It is the second highest in elevation and not in the flood plain itself like site 1. The red site marked "base camp" is the most cleared and has parking for 2 vehicles maybe 3 if your creative. This is where i camp when i go and work on property. Thus its the most cleared of brambles. it a great spot and safely above the creek. site 2 is further up the logging road from "base camp" about 50 yards past and has a clearer view of the sky with fewer trees overhead. cars are not allowed past the parking spots of base camp. site 3 is up mushroom lane. Once you reach the gps coordinates on your way in. its a left turn off of scenic drive. just a post marks it for now as someone stole the sign of course. this is a 4x4 trail for sure. it dead ends so parking on the trail is ok. it is well above the creek and rain or creek swell is no threat. As we are in the very first stages of development, no cat holes please. anything requiring toilet paper, please use approved bio-waste bags and take them with you when you leave. thank you. However if all goes well ,eventually we do plan on a pit toilet and a hot water shower house and disc golf course. not necessarily in that order but we'll see.
