Secluded natural decks speckled throughout the forest that boasts sweeping views of the Ozark Mountains exist in Dreamland 1440. The Campground Area begins at the front of the property where you enter through the gated area of 1440 Dreamland. If you are booking the Williams Rock Area, your entrance is off of Hwy 330. There are several locations around Williams Rock to camp, open cave areas, with a 5 acre lake to tool around on if you have brought a kayak or small boat. The gates will be open to Williams Rock Area by noon of your arrival. It's primitive camping, so find your own "spot" on the property, respect the privacy of others at their "spots". First come first serve on each spot. The camp spots are not graveled, leveled, etc.. just the bare earth. The majority of this property is the woods, open fields, rough terrain, etc. So you will experience all Nature has to offer. Things like poison ivy, seed ticks, chiggers, ants, spiders, snakes, wildlife...Always check with the host on the app before arrival. Arriving when it gets dark will mean you will be setting up in the dark unless you have brought lanterns. If you've booked a site, the gate will be open for you, but you will be on your own. The camp host from April 27 - July 1st is on call for guests needs, but is not on site. Checkout time is by Noon. Check in is at 2:00 pm. Or, you can rent one in town. There are fishing guides available, too. I moved here in 2016 from Atlanta, Georgia. I actually lived in an RV in a beautiful park for several years there. And, loved it! I thought I was going to do that here, but changed my mind when I found this sweet little house on a couple of acres. Deer visit us, and bunnies make their homes here. I have cats and dogs of my own. I work at the Calico Rock Museum and invite you to visit us. We have a wonderful Heritage Center and a gallery/gift shop with works of art created by local artisans. About 2 miles from the White River and Main Street Calico Rock. Turn from Hwy. 56 can be tricky for big rigs because of a ditch at Jones Street. Left hand turn is easier than right hand turn. You can use the parking lot across the street to help you back your rig into the campsite. We have permission from the owner to do that. There is room for your boat, too. Pets are welcome. Close to grocery, bank, gas. The White River is famous for its trout fishing. Deer hunting in the area, too. (Not on this property.) The hookups are on the left side (right side if you back in). You may need extensions for your power and sewer. I have them available, if you don’t have your own. PLEASE TAKE YOUR TRASH WITH YOU WHEN YOU LEAVE.
