Big Tesuque Campground

6 sites · Tent

Just a dozen miles from downtown Santa Fe, Big Tesuque Campground is a small forested camp off a scenic byway (NM 475).

In the fall, space becomes limited as visitors flock to see the aspen trees get their photosynthesis on. Say it the right way! This campground is pronounced “Tess-U-key.”

If you're looking for a spot in the Santa Fe National Forest that's easy to get to, you'll like this. There aren't many frills here but it's nicely situated along the creek and you can get a little way from the road. Most sites require you carry your gear from the car. They have vault toilets but little else.
