Perfect off the beaten path in such a tranquil setting by the creek with good seclusion. Susan was very helpful and attended to our needs. I highly recommend taking her up on her advice to visit Plaza Blanca. Absolutely amazing place!! Claw foot tub in bathroom is a great touch. I would definitely return.

Love ❤️
Sus was not only overly hospitable, responsive to the app, and lovely; her land/ space (we stayed in the yurt) was perfect!
Her space is definitely out in a rural area, but it is close to many great gems. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a home base to explore the region, a getaway to relax, or a spot to rest your wheels overnight on the way through the area. 10 out of 10!
We recommend driving down through the gorge if you have a 4-wheel drive. She told us to try it, and it was amazing!
There's a cafe in Carson which is a can't miss. Coffee, wine, beer, and amazing pizza! Not too far a drive.
Don't miss Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs.
Would 100% stay here again.

River Yurt Oasis by Ojo Hot Springs
Sus’s campsite is a lovely oasis with all the amenities you could want (fire pit, chairs, picnic table). The yurt is next to a stream that you can hear running from bed. The birds chirping in the morning is a great compliment to the sound of the stream. The yurt has all the furnishings including a comfy bed.
Sus was a great host who made us feel very welcome.
Note: you will need to cross the stream to get to the yurt.

Better than a tent & secluded
Overall it was a great time and we had a lot of fun together. The land was beautiful and the bed was comfy. We were thankful for the pots/pans and silverware, plus table and inside lights. Though we had difficulty lighting the stove and then the gas burnt out and the rv smelled like methane. The sage provided was nice and convienant. The fire ring was loved and it was easy to set up. And there was even some leftover logs.
I wish we had dish soap, a lighter with a long end and I wish we had a working stove.
Bring your own chairs, because the cushioned seats aren’t very comfy.
