We moved to our new small farm in 2014 to settle down and do what we love. We have over 4 acres of irrigated land, nice big fields, bordered by long standing trees. It overlooks the North Fork valley, the West Elks with a perfect view of Mt. Lamborn and Needle Rock off in the distance (Where the late Joe Cocker lived). We've been in actual produce and freeze drying production going on year 8. This is an operating farm and has all the excitement, beauty and noises associated with it.Looking for a little peace and quiet and a nice place a little more down to earth? Welcome to JuNo Farms. We're a small, working, certified naturally grown farm growing produce, berries, fruit and grapes and have a small flock of egg laying chickens and ducks. We love this area and all it has to offer and think you will too. We're just outside of Hotchkiss surrounded by farms and orchards yet close enough to make a quick run to the store in a couple minutes if needed. Check us out on facebook at JuNo Farms!
We offer a 5th wheel RV set up in the trees. Refrigerator, stove supplied with the basic cooking set up. The RV has a gray water tank only. Shower and toilet are located in the downstairs spare bathroom of our house. The location offers privacy and is currently set up by the duck pond.
Our guests are welcome to use our covered patio area by the house. Featuring an outdoor kitchen to clean your fresh catch of the day, a gas grill to cook it up along with some local produce, and a seating area to hang out and enjoy a summer evening. Sit and relax while enjoying some of the many great local libations and converse with fellow guests. All guests are welcome to use our inside bathroom/shower.
We are pet friendly and have a couple farm dogs that have free run of our property. We have farm animals ourselves and in the immediate surroundings and lots of wildlife traverse our property, mostly deer. Seasonal produce will be available for our guests, from our farm or nearby farms/orchards, gratis or for a reasonable charge.
This area is and has been the best kept secret in Colorado in our opinion. The Grand mesa is worth a trip in and of itself. Rural settings, rivers, lakes, mountains, desert (dobies), some of the best conditions for star gazing, snow sports, hunting, trails by foot and vehicle, the Black Canyon, the oldest petroglyphs in N. America, vineyards, cideries, restaurants, local festivals of all manner, organic/natural farms and orchards that produce some of the healthiest and best tasting foods around, all within less than an hours' drive in any direction. If you like the outdoors, overall mild weather and amazing food, we think this is as close to paradise as you'll find.
