The Camp was started in 1925 by Mrs. Douglas as a girls camp to teach young girls the beautiful wonders of the outdoors including horseback riding, swimming, archery, and camping. She felt that boys had plenty of opportunity to explore Mother Nature but at the time, girls had no such camp to attend. This 115 acre, beautiful, rolling hills ranch has been a camp ever since and now offers camping for the young and old, girls and boys, families and singles…. You name it… a camp for everyone.
Located on 115 acres historic boys and girls summer camp complete with pool, tennis, and hiking in Carmel Valley, CA.

Clean and comfortable.
Clean and comfortable. I loved my two days at the Camp at Carmel Valley. The kitchen was great! The tent was clean and super comfortable. I loved the front porch and the fire pit. I highly recommend staying here if you are excited to get away from social media, the internet, and all stress! Get out into nature and reconnect with your soul. I am coming back as soon as I can!!

This cabin not part of whole camp
The tent cabin and it's shared flush toilets, showers and outdoor kitchen were in great shape, seemed fairly new, and were very pleasant. There is a little road noise throughout the day and evening. The biggest thing to be aware of is that campers in this section - Rustic Camp - are not allowed to use the rest of the camp's facilities - like the pool, tennis courts, breakfast, etc. This was not clear to us until after we booked. Otherwise a very pleasant glamping location. But next time we will try to stay in the full camp so we can use the pool, etc.

I cannot recommend this hipcamp enough!
Camp Carmel Valley is truly a magical space. we had a lovely company event here and the space is perfect for a large group. you are removed and it offers great privacy and the ability to focus and engage, but you also can make quick trips into town for meals, hikes and beach walks.
the house we stayed in was well-appointed with good linens, warm water, and comfy beds. I cannot recommend this hipcamp enough!

Had such a nice time here!
Had such a nice time here! The property is set up really well for groups of all sizes. You can book multiple cabins depending on how much space you need, and there are many areas of the property to hang out. It's a lovely spot to have an outdoors trip but also be super comfy with nice beds and amenities. There is something for everyone at the Camp at Carmel Valley!
