Relax and recharge away from city life. 40 minutes to the coast, Carmel's shops and galleries and restaurants. A few more minutes puts you on the most beautiful golf courses in the world or take Highway #1 to Big Sur for the day. Short drive and hike to Los Padres Dam . Ride your mountain bike along scenic Cachagua rd with it's SEASONAL creek to Chews Ridge. Totally private and quiet. Off the power grid. 12v power supplied by solar and batteries. Unlimited hot water in the private bath house. The bath house is a 40 step stroll through the oaks, No tv's or microwaves. AT&T cell service along with a few other small providers. Guests love staying here "Really lovely little camp cabin. Has everything you need to elevate your camping experience while maintaining the outdoor feels. It was so nice to have a flush toilet and indoor sleeping area while being able to prepare food outdoors. The property is somewhat remote, tucked away from light pollution, providing excellent stargazing. I really enjoyed the peacefulness of this trip, and the hosts were excellent."

Redwood Cabin nestled in the oaks
5 star
Joeseph and his family are very accommodating. The cabin (site #1) that we stayed at was very clean, organized and private. We are used to rough camping with a tent and this is the first time for us in glamping and definitely will do it again. Thank you Joseph and fam for introducing us to glamping. Frankie our dog will miss lilly for sure. See you guys next time.

Great little cabin!
I stayed in Cabin 1 and had a great stay. Joe and his daughter were super nice and responsive when I had a question. You are far enough away from the other cabin and main house to feel like you have your own space. Both the cabin and bath house you could tell had a lot of love and thought put in with their construction, which just added to the comfort the cabin provided. I enjoyed the front porch which is awesome to relax on and soak in the trees and birds and read, and the picnic table that is just off the porch to enjoy a meal. I planned some easy one pot meals and had everything I needed in the kitchenette. The cooler on the porch held well for any cold goods. The cabin has some inside lighting for nighttime hours which was great but there are no outlets as it runs off propane so plan accordingly for anything you might need to charge (I did). There is a great heater in the cabin if needed to take the chill off. Joe has some great recommendations for seeing some of the surrounding area and all that Big Sur has to offer even if you are on a limited time frame. Plan to drive about an hour or so to get to the Big Sur area on HWY 1, but very much worth it. The few days I had in the area were amazing and I would happily stay here again.

Redwood Cabin nestled in the oaks
A lovely little cabin in the heart of Carmel Valley. About half an hour's drive from Carmel Valley Village -- pay attention to Joe's directions, the other, steep route is no joke! -- and get ready to enjoy the scenery and watch for deer and quail. Joe is attentive but not overbearing. The cabin has running water, the little kitchen has everything you'd need, and the bathhouse is delightful. No outlets, so come prepared with backup batteries or go unplugged. I'll be back!

Redwood Cabin nestled in the oaks
Had a great time staying in Jo's, a beautifully hand-crafted redwood cabin. The landscape is absolutely gorgeous and we felt welcome by Jo and his family. Not too far from Big Sur which we drove into twice. Just know that the drive is twisty and single-laned in parts so avoid driving at night if possible.
