Great spot away from the crowds!
Busy and a well known spot for dispersed camping. Popular among locals, keep the tourist vibes to a minimum if possible!
Worst hosts I’ve ever encountered! And I’ve been van lifing for years and have camped at MANY campgrounds!
The lady hostess took a ticket from a site that was paid for by someone else. I took the spot since it appeared open. Instead of talking to me about it respectfully, they came at me super aggressively after I’d been driving 8+ hours and was having my first meal of the day, telling me I stole the ticket for previous campers and I need to leave. The man host got up in my face and saw my CA license plates and yelled at me “you’re from California?!?? Get outta here!”.
Super weird and the level of aggressiveness triggered my PTSD hardcore and I had a panic attack which they didn’t care about. Never ever coming back here with those hosts
Views of the tetons and the winds and beautiful mountaintop star gazing
Amazing scenery. It was a beautiful getaway from the city.
This campground feels worlds away, but still easily accessible from Jackson. Also provides great access to day-hike peak ascents like Jackson Peak (well worth the leg work) and an incredible view of the Tetons.
