Hands down awesome!!!!

My hubby and an employee stayed at Jill’s property- they’re there doing storm clean up work. They loved it- the quiet, the nature- everything. They loved the owners dogs hanging with them and seeming to ‘guard’ them from the wild life- We absolutely recommend Jill’s property- hands down! We are hoping to take a trip there (non-work related) and be able to stay there. They wanted to explore, but they had a short time frame, and were super appreciative of the property owner allowing them to stay!

Such a beautiful spot! We watched the horses in the fields and played with the farm dogs. The location is far enough away from the main drag that it's pretty quiet. We just need electric so we parked along the fence line near the pasture. Liz was a friendly host too!

Not everyone makes a good host

As a camper, we love going to fun, beautiful places that are not your ordinary stay experience. When we come across a farm host, we are almost always excited to be there. Well, I wish this was one of those places. Unfortunately, we advanced our needs and ETA when asked the night before, but received no response. We updated her the next day and got no response. We arrived at the gate, and called and texted as requested, but no response. We're patient people, so about 30 minutes later we were told to come in and park. Okay, that'll do. Then we were parked 8ft from another trailer and it appeared to bother her that we needed the requested 30amp power rather than a 15amp. That's why we were willing to pay the requested rate to begin with! Jill wasn't one to chat... at all. We tried! We are friendly Texans and asked her about her farm and her animals, but she wouldn't say much back and would begin to slowly walk away each time, while providing a minimal response at best. I've never met anyone with animals who didn't want to talk about them! That was very strange to me. I'll just leave it at that. Next time, we'll just choose Cracker Barrel or go back to one of the other amazing Hipcamp places we've stayed instead of inconveniencing her. We left disappointed and will not be back. What a shame.

Beautiful country setting. Lots of animals to watch. Jill was very accommodating. We didn’t have the privacy we expected.. there was another camper set up when we got there, so that was unexpected. Ot worked.. but eh!

Peaceful and private
24 ft travel trailer · With kids
This is a very peaceful and private spot. No other campers, and the owner’s house is not close. The sunset is magical! And if you’re lucky you’ll see the horses grazing in the pasture. Prepare for flies and mosquitoes since this is in the countryside. We weren’t too bothered because the views and location totally made up for it, but it’s good to know if you are sensitive to bugs. 2 lovely and cuddly dogs might visit your camp, and we woke up to chickens outside our camper. Such a great experience! There are also goats on the property. Jill was so helpful and friendly. We definitely would’ve stayed another night had we not needed to head home.
