Stars, stars, stars!!
So many stars!!! And they all looked so close! I took my 3 kids out to watch the end of the shower. The property is exactly as described, and following the given directions, it was very, very easy to find. The dirt road was not too bad, I have a 4x4 2500 Ram, so it was nothing for us, but it definitely looked like pretty much anyone could make it! There were others staying at the property, and our second night, there was a bit of a commotion a couple spots over, but it definitely didnt interrupt or ruin out time! During the day (to beat the heat), we visited Tehachapi and Lancaster, and found ourselves pretty much right in the middle of both, geographically. We did notice, that while it was still hot out, the site is located pretty much at the base of the foothills, and was actually cooler than Lancaster, and there was a nice, cool wind that wasnt too strong, but strong enough to cool us off 😊. They have cool little stalls to change or put your toilet in. The platform was sturdy and very nice, kept the tent above the ants and other small desert creatures. Overall, an extremely nice stay! Highly recommend to book!!

Had a great time camping here, the sky at night is amazing ! Simple safe spot to camp for the night, greeting by a fellow cattle dog. Enjoyed my stay here. Recommend it. It’s the desert so be prepared. I arrived at night so it was a little tricky to find it but, quick response time from host helped me find camp thanks !!!

It was exactly what I needed for the price. Just a safe space to camp for the night- self sufficient. I can understand how others some people might not feel safe if they’re not accustom to the desert car camping vibe. I stayed in a lot cleared closer to the road, rather than up by the fenced in tiny home area as there were people filming some movie, and I just wanted to cook and sleep. I spoke with another person in the lot next to me who seemed to be a long term camper and was friendly and welcoming. I didn’t hear from Freedom before during or after, but I didn’t really need anything from him other than reassurance I guess. ***Important to follow the directions and not come from the back way as the road is washed out badly right before you get to his driveway. So go from the intersection he says in the instructions.***

Great quiet spot to park for a few days, far away from the ‘ole hustle and bustle. It’s getting closer to summer so there weren’t as many flowers as expected but the hills and windmills were beautiful and there was a nice constant wind/breeze for most of our stay.

We tried camping at this location, but found it kind of creepy. We were towing a trailer and drove to the property. There’s a bunch of old abandoned trailers on the property that have us strange vibes. We all decided it wasn’t worth it so we left. No poppies when we came.
Freedom was communicative but the spot just wasn’t nice.

Would not comeback to this site. Upon arrival..we decided to leave ASAP. Did not feel safe about the area.
