Aching Acres Ranch is an 80-acre getaway where adventure meets tranquility. Explore our 1.6-km private trail system, perfect for dirt bikes and ATVs, with winding paths leading to serene ponds, sweeping water views, and breathtaking vistas, plus plenty of chances to spot local wildlife. We’re a family who loves to share our land. A shared playground, equipped with slides and a fireman’s pole, is available for all kids to enjoy (recommended for children 10 and under, adult supervision required). Just minutes from Greens Mountain, Salmon Lake Trail, and Donald Trail, we’re a dream base for ATV enthusiasts, helmets highly encouraged (and very cool). Whether you crave adventure or seclusion, your stay can be exactly what you want: quiet hikes, thrilling rides, or simply watching the kids run free. Families, couples, and solo travellers are all welcome, but this is not a party property. Rules & Safety: - Fire Bans & Bylaws: Absolutely no burning during a fire ban. When permitted, fires must follow municipal and provincial fire bylaws, be reasonable in size, and remain in the designated fire pit. Fires are allowed 7 PM to 7 AM (except for cooking). - Firewood: Do not bring your own firewood. We provide ample wood for permitted fires to prevent pests and disease spread. - No fireworks permitted. - No impaired operation of vehicles, ATVs, or machinery. - Recycling & Garbage: Must be separated; clear bags and a recycling bin are provided. If not separated, you must take your garbage with you. - Be bear and wildlife aware: store food and garbage securely, especially overnight. - Dogs are welcome: keep them leashed unless friendly with other dogs/kids and no other guests are present. Off-leash only after proper introductions. Always clean up after your pet. - Respect the land: no cutting trees, damaging vegetation, or altering campsites. - Be courteous to all guests and keep noise reasonable. For your convenience, an outdoor hose with drilled well water is available at the main house for washing dishes or cleaning (not for drinking). Please bring your own potable water. We can’t wait to welcome you, come share in the fun, the quiet, and the beauty of Aching Acres Ranch.
