    Sleep comfortably in a quaint cabin with easy access to Adirondack hiking, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hunting and relaxing. Our cabin is tucked away, bordered by NYS Forever Wild land to the south and west and few neighbors to the north and east. Built by a local doctor in 1924, this cabin was his family's summer home. He was also a talented watercolor painter and his original work is displayed throughout. We are only the third owners and we have been enjoying the cabin since the 80's. In the last 30 years we have introduced some creature comforts (hot/cold water, electricity) while maintaining its original charm. In a time where it is so hard to disconnect from the world, we offer a comfy bed, fresh air, starry nights, a fire and no cell service at the cabin. Learn more about this land: Come, sit back, disconnect and relax in our unique cabin in the Adirondack Park. Our 100-year-old cabin comfortably sleeps seven. There are two small private bedrooms: one with a queen and the second with a full bed. The third room is open to the living room and features a bunk bed. Linens, blankets and towels are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with cookware, a full-sized stove, refrigerator, microwave and farmhouse sink with hot and cold running water. The bathroom has a flush toilet, sink and tub with handheld shower. There is a pellet stove (pellets provided) in our kitchen/dining area and a wood stove (wood provided) in the living room. Both bedrooms have thermostat controlled electric heat. The cabin is a true escape: no internet, no telephone and hit or (mostly) miss cell service. There is electricity if you need to recharge a device and there is a great sound system to Bluetooth your tunes. Built by Dr. James Cormier in 1924, our cabin became a summer getaway for his family. He was also an artist and his original watercolors still adorn its walls. We are only the third owners in nearly 100 years and we have been building cherished memories there for decades. We have made improvements to the property while retaining its charm. There is one P/T neighbor who shares our driveway but the property provides privacy. We are adjacent to a NYS Forest Preserve and surrounded by woods. The cabin is a short drive from Lake Placid and Saranac Lake and close to hiking the Adirondacks, canoeing in the St. Regis Canoe Area, close to the Six Nations Indian Museum and an easy drive to the Visitors Interpretive Center at Paul Smith’s College. For the water and fishing enthusiast a 3 minute drive or 10 minute walk brings you to the North Branch of the Saranac River, Rainbow Lake and Lake Kushaqua. Local fishing, and hunting opportunities abound. The cabin’s location also offers history buffs a chance to explore the impact of tuberculosis sanatoriums which served patients from the big cities in the early 20th century. Sites are available to explore within walking distance and a small museum in Saranac Lake is worth the trip. Lastly, there is a cool antique store within a few miles whose owner is always available for conversation about the area. After a day of ADK fun, you can kick back around the fire ring (outdoor burning wood supplied) and take in the stars.     Firewood provided, firepit, wood burning fireplace, private. No bonfires allowed! There is a campfire ring, pellet stove in the dining area and a wood stove in the living room. The firewood in the shed is for the woodstove ONLY.

    Flush toilet. There is a full bath inside the cabin but you are welcome to use our outhouse. It's a two seater!

    Well behaved furry friends are always welcome.

    Hot water , cold water only. There is claw foot tub with a detachable shower head. Due to a low ceiling, a chair is provided to sit on as you wash up.

    Private, oven, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, freezer, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. We love to cook and our kitchen provides the tools needed to do it. There is a full size range, microwave, toaster, fridge, electric wok and even an Instant Pot. In addition, you'll find sauce pans, non-stick/cast iron skillets, enameled cast iron cookware and more. Please contact us for specifics.

    Loved the quiet, relaxing space! Our family enjoyed unplugging in the woods! Kristen was very helpful and responded quickly. The cabin was well equipped and clean. We would definitely stay here again.

    What a beautiful rustic cabin with all that you need to make me memories. Kristine was a wonderful host who responded quickly and offered great suggestions for things to do. The bed mattresses are wonderful, lines are hotel quality, and the pillows are like clouds. The kitchen was well stocked with what you need to cook many meals. We made a delicious steak dinner with mixed vegetables and baked cinnamon butter apples. The outdoor fire pit was a blessing to have as we enjoyed time around it in the afternoon and evening. I highly recommend this quiet, private, beautiful cabin

    Great cabin - we’ll be back!
    Awesome glamping! My husband and I wanted to explore some of the high peaks/lakes in the Adirondacks for our anniversary. The cabin fit the bill wonderfully - so much character, comfortable (sleeping was great), pet friendly, private, and relaxing. We wish we had more time to enjoy all the area has to offer - guess we’ll just have to come back! If you like turn of the century cabins and antiques/history while camping with all the basic creature comforts, you’ll enjoy this place.
