The house was beautiful, warm and well stocked in terms of kitchen items! The host generously left us some snacks and a bottle of champagne 😊 The beds were quite comfortable! It was an easy drive into Soquel and the broader Santa Cruz area.
One thing to note is that if someone is sensitive to artificial scents, the house had a very strong scent. Maybe from detergents or dryer sheets? I don’t think this would be an issue for most people, but in case you are sensitive, something to consider!

This was a beautiful, comfy+luxurious, homey cottage perfect for a weekend getaway when you want to be able to cook for yourself and have your own private space. The value is fantastic. We arrived to champagne in the fridge for us, all necessary kitchen tools and many ingredients there. The washer and dryer are a great touch. There are fruit trees on the land which you’re allowed to harvest some from. It was just such a lovely time and we will most definitely be returning!
The one thing is, make sure you make contact with Ali before you go! We arrived and didn’t know how to get in, nor have service to ask, so that was a bit of a pickle-but we were able to get in touch within an hour, so it worked out.

Magical Cottage in Santa Cruz

Truly the best HipCamp in Santa Cruz!!! Cottage is nestled in the woods among mature redwoods trees and oak trees. We were greeted every morning by deer and wild turkey, such a special time! We live wandering through the vast orchard and picking fresh fruit. Accommodations were amazing; the cottage is beautifully decorated, plenty of water pressure and hot water. Heater worked phenomenally, and we lived snuggling up at the end of the evening to a glass of champagne provided by the host. We will definitely be back soon, what a magical experience!!!

Amazing place to get away! Perfect if you like to be away from people and in nature. Convenient laundry and full kitchen make this place easy to make home base for biking or going to the beach. Clean and cozy with enough space to relax. We can't wait to stay here again!
