Jacaranda Hill Farm

16 sites · RVs, Tents108 acres · WA
We are closed from 1 Dec through to 31 March due to High Fire Risk. Our 43-hectare property is on the edge of the Darling Scarp behind the historical Fairbridge Village. Only 1 hour south of Perth, so it is close enough for a quick weekend getaway but far enough to enjoy the silence of the bush. There are elevated campsites with views west towards Mandurah and the Peel Estuary, northwest views toward Perth City, and three dams on the property. Guests must be fully self-contained, as no toilets or showers are available. Just amazing views :) Some locations are suitable for tents only, and some for caravans only. 4WD/AWDs are recommended as most sites are not easily accessible with a 2WD vehicle, especially during winter. Dog friendly. Campfires are permitted in designated areas with the host's approval (depending on fire restrictions). We are closed over the summer period due to increased fire risk.

Wave Rock Short Stay

11 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents10 acres · Bremer Bay, WA
The Silos is located 2 km from the Hyden town site and 2 km from Wave Rock. Both locations are easily accessible by car or by using the walking/cycling trail. To access the walking trail please head back to Aylmore Road, turn right and when you reach the intersection cross the highway to meet the walking/cycling trail. Left will take you to town and right to Wave Rock. Please be mindful that our property neighbours a working sheep and cropping farm. Wave Rock is a granite cliff 15 metres high and 110 metres long. It’s rounded-like shape has been caused by weathering and water erosion which has undercut the base and left a rounded overhang. Water from the springs running down the rock during wetter months dissolves minerals adding to the colouring of the wave. In 1960, crystals from Hyden Rock were dated at being 2700 million years old, which are amongst the oldest in Australia. A 15 minute drive north of Wave Rock you will see a “giant” lurching out of the bushland. This massive granite rock formation is known as the Humps – grab your hat, sun screen and water bottle and explore! Be sure to visit Mulka's Cave. The name “Mulka” comes from an Aboriginal Legend associated with the cave. As you enter the cave (take a few moments for your eyes to adjust) and look at the walls and note the many hand stencils believed to representing adults and children. Close to Lake Magic, a large local salt lake, Denis Collins constructed a 20m round, 6m deep swimming pool-like gypsum pond whose buoyancy and therapeutic properties are greater than those of the Dead Sea.

Amber Ridge Estate

8 sites · RVs, Tents68 acres · Paynedale, WA
68-acre peaceful retreat nestled within State Forest, a short drive from Donnybrook. We are one of only two properties in this small, isolated pocket. We have four sites available for self-contained campers, and one site that offers bathroom facilities. Stay here and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings over a glass of wine from one of the local wineries or head out and explore the beautiful Geographe Wine Region. Redgum Hill Nestled in amongst the red gums on an elevated position near the edge of the property, you will be camping next to the old hay shed. The birdlife here is amazing, with red tailed cockatoos and honeyeaters amongst others frequently visiting. Please take care whilst exploring around this area, there are some deep rabbit warrens around the hay shed, which can be hidden in the grass in winter. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Valley Vista Valley Vista is a private and secluded haven, on an elevated spot backed onto state forest looking down over the valley, with arguably the best views of the farm. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Creek Junction Creek Junction is a peaceful area by the creek line nestled in amongst the trees, where the gully running down the hill meets the creek. One of our three dams is hidden in amongst the tea tree bushes nearby. You can see the house from this campsite, but it is far enough away that privacy is not an issue. This site has no facilities, self-contained campers/vans only. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Please be aware, all of our dams are seasonal and will be very low in the summer months. We also recommend that you do not swim in them. Hidden Corner Hidden Corner is situated at the back corner of the property. It is the most isolated of the three campsites with views of the open paddock and across the valley in front of you and state forest behind. This site has no facilities. We are only approved for self-contained campers/vans. You MUST bring a toilet with you. Shed Pad with bathroom Shed Pad is a powered site (15 amp) situated next to the main shed with bathroom facilities, including a flushing toilet. This site is relatively flat, perfect for a couple of tents or two medium/one large caravan. It overlooks neighbouring paddocks and state forest. Please note, this site has a two-night minimum stay requirement. Base price covers two people.

1 site · RV95 acres · Forest Hill, WA
Please read the entire description as you will be quizzed on it, on arrival! ;) Campers must be self-contained, with their own toilet. We only accept one booking at a time, so you're guaranteed privacy and plenty of space, as you have the entire property to yourselves. 20% discount for weeknights, that is Sunday night through to Thursday night. Come alone or bring your group to camp on our 95 acres of peace and quiet, on our off-grid property in Forest Hill. Note: There is no actual beach at Eddies Beach. Campers must be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and leave no trace. The nearest dump point is the Tourist Information Centre in Mt Barker 19km away. The rate is $38 for up to two adults, per night, $19 per extra adult per night, and any accompanying children (under 18) are free. Note: Please still add children to the booking, you will not be charged, but it's important we know numbers. Campfires are permitted in the designated area only, provided conditions are suitable and there are no local fire bans (can change daily). We will advise campers on arrival and any changes throughout your stay. Firewood can be provided. Whilst any time is good for camping, we recommend trying to time your trip with the New Moon and Full Moon - the skies here are brilliant at night! Marvel at the Milky Way from your hammock, or see the countryside lit up at night by the full moon. Well-behaved, trained, socialised and fully vaccinated pets are welcome too. Telstra and Optus work in most areas. We have free WIFI at the designated campsite area. We are located 19km from Mt Barker, surrounded by local wineries, including West Cape Howe, Poachers Ridge, Arcadia and Gilberts. The property makes a great base camp for day trips to Denmark, Albany, Mt Barker, Stirling Ranges and the Porongurup Ranges. IMPORTANT: NO FIREARMS. NO SWIMMING IN DAMS. Be mindful, this is a working property. No entry to sheds without prior approval from management. The dams and streams are unfenced, care should be exercised around these areas especially with small children. Speak to us directly when making the booking. We look forward to welcoming you. The property is new for camping and under continual improvement, so we would love your feedback. We are not a commercial campground. We have two (2) pet enclosures that measure approx. 1.8 x 4 mt, half enclosed with video surveillance so you can keep an eye on your pet from your phone while you enjoy the wineries, mountain climbing, national parks or just a day out by yourselves. The pet owner is required to provide bedding, water and food for the pet in the enclosure.
