We will help find a site which suits your needs. We now have several secluded bush camp sites as alternatives to our more 'civilised' sites. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.

We are 10km from the town of Crows Nest on the Great Dividing Range. 50 minutes from Toowoomba and 2 hours from Brisbane. The hill on the property (Flat Top) is one of the highest points in the area at 700m altitude. From the hilltop, you can enjoy 360-degree views of the surrounding area, with views across the Esk Valley towards the Sunshine Coast, sunsets over the hills surrounding Crows Nest, and even glimpses of Cressbrook Dam. There are 3 separate campsites on the hilltop. We also have secluded bush campsites down in the paddocks, these are private and peaceful with no other campers within sight. Callemondah is Aboriginal for "Many Hills" and the Farm is an Aussie Whites Sheep Stud Farm. Callemondah Camping is a new designated camping area that overlooks a picturesque waterhole and park like setting. There are fire pits to cook your food with and to have a campfire, just ask for a load of firewood or book it through Hipcamp here. We can hold and cater for functions such as Birthdays, Anniversaries, Weddings and Corporate Outdoor and Team building Functions. We do allow dogs that must remain on a leash at all times. You can also bring your horse/s on planned events and ride through the paddocks and hills of Callemondah Farm. The farm is a scenic mixture of wide open grazing fields and areas of native bushland which features native bird life and wildlife such as cockatoos, black cockatoos, galahs, crows, mapgies, kangaroos, wallabies, goannas and more. The Rosenthal creek meanders through Callemondah Farm which is very beautiful and makes for a lovely walk or to sit beside and create a painting. You can go for an amble throughout the farm or do a larger hike and take in the spectacular views from the various high points. (by arrangement only) Breeding Stud Sheep is the main agricultural activity on the Farm and there are pigs in the newly built piggery, poultry, farm dogs, horses and other farm animals featured. You can drive into Warwick which is only 5 minutes away, go for a country drive or take a trip to Stanthorpe, Allora, Yangan and other towns for the day or to visit markets and events. There are various National Parks you can visit to go hiking and we can organize horse riding and other activities for you and your family. Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside. The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits. There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies. We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane. Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet. Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Some sites are more suited to Caravans as the access is better and some are better suited to campers / 4WD but all can be accessed with a regular car. We have NO road frontage so sites are private, quiet and safe and only 3ks off the New England Highway. All campers MUST bring their own Chemical toilet and shower facilities. A small rest room and shower is available in case of emergency only I run a working farm raising Sheep and Lambs, Chickens, Ducks, Horses, Donkeys, Vegies, Preserves and Jams. Farm produce is available on request and availability, eg Free range eggs , farm raised Lamb, locally sourced Bacon for the BBQ , and seasonal vegetables, jams and chutneys. Thanks to the Beautiful rain we have had recently, our large dam is full, providing a wonderful spot for swimming, paddling or just splashing about, the Dam has long sloping access so is great for families and dogs, PLEASE NOTE The Google Maps photo is way out of date, our Dam is full. For those who may be into Waterskiing or Fishing Leslie Dam is a 10 min drive away and offers fishing and water sports then come back to your quiet camp away from the crowds. We are 20 min South of Warwick, We are only 30 min from the Stanthorpe Wineries, Breweries fresh fruit and Vege, Cheese factory to name a few things to do. A little further along you will find Girraween National Park renowned for amazing walks. Warwick Hosts the Biggest and Best Campdraft and Rodeo on the last full week of October (Covid permitting) as well as the quirky Jumpers and Jazz festival in July. Steam Train Journeys , half or full days, We have an amazing motor sport venue which holds meet every weekend, cars bikes, vintage, minis, Porsche's, you name it they race it every weekend. As well as many Equestrian Events, you can spend the day out exploring and then you can come back to your beautiful campsite, that is if you have not decided to stay relaxing and swimming for the day in the quiet watching the sheep and horses pass bye to then watch the Sunset and wildlife then look at the amazing night sky.
