Loved it, Jodie was awesome - met me at the gate and let me choose my site because it wasn’t busy. Lovely place, secluded and peaceful. A few noises in the early evening as I think there were some motorbikes on another property but stopped early enough to not disrupt the night. Would recommend!

Weekend Trip to Hillcrest 1876

Such a beautiful open space to camp. Family and dog friendly; we absolutely loved it. Our hosts, Kerri and Paul, were extremely welcoming and kind- they gave us some local advice on events happening in town, and spoilt the kids with a ride on the tractor. The spots are well kept, and enough shaded areas to spread out- the hilltop was a highlight with a great view. Great stay, will be returning!

Weekend Trip to Hillcrest 1876

We attended with 4 other families for the Easter long weekend. We woke up to beautiful sunrises over fields of sheep and cows, with the tranquil sounds of birds chirping. Through out the day we explored the property and nearby towns. There was plenty of space for adventurous children or a quiet hideaway, even on a busy Easter weekend. The afternoons were bliss with picturesque sunsets as we played lawn games and enjoyed a beverage by the fire. Paul and Kerry were absolutely amazing hosts, very kind and accomodating people. They welcomed us upon arrival, delivered firewood to our camp site and provided information on nearby attractions. Our children enjoyed tractor rides, feeding the sheep and one day old lamb cuddles. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away and cannot wait to return!

Staying on the Hilltop at Hillcrest 1876 was a lovely spot creating a relaxing long weekend. We had a beautiful, uninterrupted vantage point looking over adjoining farmland. Our hosts Paul & Kerry were super friendly checking in to make sure we were comfortable and was there anything we needed. It was awesome to have our pups with us and excellent spot for walking them. Not far from home and will definitely be back!

The view from the top of the hill was beautiful and it's a very easy location to find. The kids loved the tractor ride and holding a newborn lamb. It was nice to have our own fire pit whilst we gazed up at the stars. Paul and Kerry are lovely and we will be definitely back again.

Could not recommend this camp enough! We decided to treat ourselves to a bit of a glamping experience for Easter and this spot was an absolute gem. The dam was perfect for our two water obsessed border collies & we loved paddling around it on our paddle boards. The set up was fantastic very quiet & private, you really don’t need to pack anything but food! Facilities were very clean & practical. The view by the fire pit was perfect to sit & watch the sun go down & there’s lots to do & see in & around crows nest. Highly, Highly recommend!!

We tent camp for 2 nights, there is a lot of space between tent, Penelope is super friendly and accomodating, we were provided wood($20 lasted 2 nights) and fire pit, the area and landscape are amazing, there is also a pool and a gym($10) We also had two cats and there were no problems with other pets like dogs because of the large area. There are horses around in their fence but you can kindly pat them. Overall we had an amazing experience and we are very keen to go back!!! Thanks again to Penelope

We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. There’s even a small lagoon now awaiting. Check out the short hiking trails on our property (there are hike options suitable to your preferred difficulty). Bring your machete for an even greater hiking experience! You can relax by or in the spring fed dam, explore seasonal Kobble Creek, feed the chickens or goats, spot the abundant bird life, or sit patiently and a deer or fox may appear at dusk. Enjoy the evenings sitting around the campfire as you gaze at the stars. All sites have sufficient spacing from other sites to ensure acceptable privacy. If you are looking to get away, put your feet up, switch off and recharge, then this is your perfect spot to enjoy the serenity of farm life with the added mountain views. We have potable bore water, electricity connection, picnic table and bench and firepit. We have two powered caravan sites that can also double up as tent sites. Ideally you should be self sufficient. Our bore has a solar pump that is rigged up to the water tank at the camp kitchen. Please turn the tap off once you have finished filling up your containers or caravan tanks. Bore water is potable, so can be used for cooking, cleaning, pets, etc. Any cooking implements and tools that you might need during your stay can be provided at request. Dogs are welcome, just please be mindful of our free ranging chickens, which are generally located at the top of the farm, near the big new shed. We also have baby goats that you are welcome to help us feed. Please ensure that you are mindful of our neighbours, no loud noises between 9pm and 7am and kindly clean up after yourselves and take your rubbish with you, as we don't have garbage collection at the property. Nanango has a lovely vibe. It's Queensland's oldest and friendliest town. There are great playgrounds, swimming pool and cart racing in town, which is only about 10 minutes away from the farm. Kingaroy is about half an hour away. There is a great off roading spot in the forest that is literally up the road from us. According to previous campers it's perfect for beginners. Right next to the cafe is The Clock and Bull Brewhouse/restaurant which is due to open soon. The Historic Farmers Arms is just up the road if you want a cold drink or a great counter meal with a country atmosphere. There are some great cafes in Highfields and Monty Brewing Company is definitely worth a visit. There are Markets in Cabarlah on the last Sunday of every month and there is the Toowoomba Farmers Markets every Saturday plus lots of other local markets. If there is some fishermen/women in your group Campfire Farms is only 17min from Cooby Dam and 45min from Cressbrook Dam. Both of our dams are also stocked with Yellow Belly, Silver Perch and there is an abundance of Yabbies. We are more than happy to show people around and let you experience the farm with us. We are situated less than 5km from the lovely town of Goombungee where you can stock up with groceries, fuel or gas at the supermarket, grab a coffee or breakfast at the local café, enjoy some retail therapy at the Australia Post gift shop or the (seriously great) op shop and then take a walk through the art gallery before heading to the Pioneer Arms Hotel for dinner and then spending the night beneath the stars next to the Lavender or Rosemary. Back Paddock Botanical - Lavender and Herb farm was established in 2023 and although not fully grown yet the plants add a peaceful ambience to the already beautiful countryside around Goombungee. Flowering time for our Lavender Plants is usually November to January, however this can change depending on the weather we get during the season. All campsites are well spaced and private, with non-potable (Bore) water available for washing up after dinner! Wake up to the sound of Kookaburras and cockatoos and enjoy your morning cuppa while watching the grazing Wallabies/Kangaroos and keep and eye out for Echidnas and Koalas. We love dogs and well behaved canine family members are always welcome at our campsites, however please respect the biosecurity of the lavender by not allowing them into the fields and please make sure they do not roam to other campsites. All campers must provide their own toilet, so self contained camp set ups are needed on the farm - what you pack in, you pack out - please respect our farm and the surrounding nature and leave no trace. We can also cater to larger groups as each individual site has plenty of room, please contact us to discuss if we can accommodate you. Deep Dime is a 400 acre cattle, fodder and irrigated grain farm. Our primary crop is Lucerne for hay. Creekside Camp (our main camping area) is relatively flat, well drained sites along a creek that usually runs. This area offers multiple composting toilets and wood powered hot water bush shower and outdoor bath. There is also a large permanent deep waterhole a short distance from this camping area. We have temporarily paused out Hill camp sites, due to continuing property maintenance and improvements. The Hilltop on our place is a lovely spot to watch the sunset with a glass of your favorite beverage, and even if you are camped at Creekside, you are welcome to walk or drive up to hilltop. Just remember we are a working property, so leave gates as you find them. It will dry up in some conditions. - Follow the walking trails for bush walks to spot the wallabies, kangaroos and some beautiful birdlife. - Kids can ride their bicycles along the trails. - Ewenique hobby farm is located roughly 500m up the road, great animal farm for kids to enjoy. - Wivenhoe, Somerset Dam in the area for water sports
