CAMP 1 allows up to 14 or more campsites to include caravans, motor homes, large or small. tents etc. with flat and slightly flat areas and close to the roadway dead end street.
CAMP 2 allows up to eight or more smaller caravans tents rooftops etc also with some flatter areas.
CAMP 3 is a private in the bush area and will cater for five or so rooftops tents, difficult for caravans or large vehicles.
CAMP 4 smaller possibly two tents or rooftops secluded in the bush.
CAMP 5 similar to camp 3 in the bush and completely private great for a get together with friends.
CAMP 6 is the very top of the mountain with a long wide strip of cleared area with bush on both sides and a window at the end to the valley below, very private, must be fully contained and would suit most vehicles, may lose traction if pulling a heavy caravan or trailer.

Nestled under the Watagan mountains escarpment in the Hunter valley, the property has some amazing views in all directions, but still remains secluded and hidden from view. The property has been selectively cleared to maintain a balance of open land and untouched bushland which has a boundary to the Watagans National Park.
The animal life is very diverse as many species transition from the Watagans into the property and many live on site full time. These include flocks of amazing bird species such as Gang gang and Black Cockatoos, resident Wedge tailed eagles, Kookaburras, finches, honey eaters, Coucals, Lyrebirds and more. Wallabies of various types are common, and Sugar gliders can be seen on the flowering Eucalypts.
The camping areas for RV's sit on a large elevated flat area that border a large gorge with broken views towards the Hunter Valley vineyards. The Gorge (or Canyon) is rimmed by caves and has rainforest type trees in the bottom. The caves can be explored and the rainforest can be walked if you are fit!
The tent and camper trailer areas are terraced into an area of slight slope with a number of sites to chose from. Non potable water taps are available at each caravan site and at intervals in the camping area. This water is clear fresh dam or bore water and can be used for showers, washing up etc. Two flush toilets are available for use by both RV's and campers. There is a central fire pit.
We have a private site which has open views over the Hunter Valley to the Vineyards and beyond to the Barrington tops. This site has a cliff edge pool that comfortably fits up to 4 people for a dip. This area has a large fire pit that can be used to heat the pool in winter.
This site has its own flushing toilet and Shower. This site is best suited to a caravan as it is terraced, though it would be possible to setup tents or a camper van in this location also. This can also be booked as a group site.
16minutes to Cessnock, 25minutes to the M1, 2.25 hours to Sydney central and 25 minutes to Pokolbin.
The location is generally very peaceful with all sorts of wildlife.
There is plenty of ground sticks for fire wood and bulk timber for purchase.

Pets are welcome please pick up after them. Unfortunately, due to a recent incident. All dogs from now on must be on a leash at all times. The dangerous dog in question bit 4 people in less than 24 hours. Including my husband twice. You know your dog, But you cannot predict what another campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here.
Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied.
Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control.
We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm.
PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents.
2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking.
3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite.
4) NO late night check in . If you are a group larger than two people, the check in time is between midday and sunset. Do not arrive after sunset. If in doubt call.
5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. This year the weather has been terrible. From record rain to drought conditions in 3 months. Because of the earthworks there has been a bit of dust, which we have tried to control with grass seed and then no rain.... once each section of earthworks is done. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow.
6) Please check weather report a minimum of 7 days before you arrive and CANCEL your booking if you are not sure.

Nestled under the Watagan mountains escarpment in the Hunter valley, the property has some amazing views in all directions, but still remains secluded and hidden from view. The property has been selectively cleared to maintain a balance of open land and untouched bushland which has a boundary to the Watagans National Park.
The animal life is very diverse as many species transition from the Watagans into the property and many live on site full time. These include flocks of amazing bird species such as Gang gang and Black Cockatoos, resident Wedge tailed eagles, Kookaburras, finches, honey eaters, Coucals, Lyrebirds and more. Wallabies of various types are common, and Sugar gliders can be seen on the flowering Eucalypts.
The camping areas for RV's sit on a large elevated flat area that border a large gorge with broken views towards the Hunter Valley vineyards. The Gorge (or Canyon) is rimmed by caves and has rainforest type trees in the bottom. The caves can be explored and the rainforest can be walked if you are fit!
The tent and camper trailer areas are terraced into an area of slight slope with a number of sites to chose from. Non potable water taps are available at each caravan site and at intervals in the camping area. This water is clear fresh dam or bore water and can be used for showers, washing up etc. Two flush toilets are available for use by both RV's and campers. There is a central fire pit.
We have a private site which has open views over the Hunter Valley to the Vineyards and beyond to the Barrington tops. This site has a cliff edge pool that comfortably fits up to 4 people for a dip. This area has a large fire pit that can be used to heat the pool in winter.
This site has its own flushing toilet and Shower. This site is best suited to a caravan as it is terraced, though it would be possible to setup tents or a camper van in this location also. This can also be booked as a group site.
16minutes to Cessnock, 25minutes to the M1, 2.25 hours to Sydney central and 25 minutes to Pokolbin.
The location is generally very peaceful with all sorts of wildlife.
There is plenty of ground sticks for fire wood and bulk timber for purchase.

The dangerous dog in question bit 4 people in less than 24 hours. Including my husband twice. You know your dog, But you cannot predict what another campers's dog is going to be like. Any dog on the NSW dangerous dogs list is absolutely not welcome here.
Free use of fire pits and free firewoods. You will need to be split the logs yourself. axes and wheelbarrows are supplied.
Hot showers and decent toilets, Good mobile phone signal. Two Communal Fridges .There is lots of space for campers. We have two sites with shade, four without. We suggest you bring a decent quality gazebo or equivalent. If you choose a non-shady site and then it's sunny, it is beyond our control.
We are located on a dead end road, so very rare to have any traffic after 8pm.
PLEASE NOTE: 1) We ONLY ALLOW ONE camper trailer or ONE caravan per site. No limit on number of tents.
2) IF You Have more than 3 vehicles/site please contact host before booking.
3) Depending on the weather on the day, we may have to limit the number of vehicles that can be parked adjacent to your campsite.

5) As the business name suggests (mountain) our property is on a hill. we are creating more level campsites. This year the weather has been terrible. From record rain to drought conditions in 3 months. Because of the earthworks there has been a bit of dust, which we have tried to control with grass seed and then no rain.... once each section of earthworks is done. Shade trees are being planted. But they are slow to grow.

we like to keep the camping sites away from other campers … so we only accept a minimum.
We will respond to any enquires if we get any cancellations 🐣
Set amongst the trees, we have 6 shady spots to camp, away from Other campers, 2 bush toilets, we have 2 friendly highland steers, horses and sheep in adjoining paddocks, a large dam to swim or kayak in, we also have nearby Soldiers Beach or Lakes beach just a 13 minute drive.
We have local IGA store, bottle shop, take away Chinese food / dominos , bottle shop and bakery, cafe and other outlets just 1km down the road.
We have 2 friendly highland cows, you can feed them carrots and hay (provided) horses to say hi and pat!

Lots of spaces available yet very private. Close to Anna Bay shops and beaches including Birubi Beach and all of the Port Stephen area.
Definitely on the top end of costings though. Could possibly be a little bit cheaper to make it more affordable and fill more spots.
Most spots really need 4x4 access including van.
Good communication with the host.

Great spot, not far from Gosford. Some road noise, but minimal. We booked Site 1, but set up on Site 2 (got confused with Wyrurri 2!) Site 2 is large and plenty of sun for solar.

Stayed at Jennie’s property and couldn’t recommend it more highly.
The property is exceptionally well maintained, peaceful, and offers a great balance between privacy and accessibility. The camping spots are thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of space and a genuine bush vibe.
Jennie was a fantastic host friendly, responsive, and clearly takes pride in ensuring guests have a smooth and enjoyable stay. Everything was exactly as described, if not better.
We brought our dogs along and they absolutely loved the trip plenty of space for them to relax and enjoy the environment. The large dam on the property was a primo there was a kayak which we used (not sure if allowed) which made for a fun challenge for our fur babie
If you’re looking for a quiet getaway with a well run setup, this is a great option. I’ll definitely be back.

We had a great time here for 2 nights! The paddock floods a little after rain however it is quite close to Gosford and with no other camping spots around this suited us perfectly!

What a great find on my way travelling through, close to the highway but without all the noise. beautiful setting tucked away under some beautiful gum trees overlooking the horse farm. just what was needed after a day driving.

Great property with lovely hosts. This was our first experience using Hipcamp and we had a great short stay.
We got to play with the animals and were lucky enough to be the only guests for our two nights.
When we come to stay again, i would have messaged Trevor a day or so before my arrival to give him some time to mow our spot, as the paspalym was knee high and limited how much space the kids could use.
Looking forward to another visit!

A lovely spot. A very comfortable stay camping for the night with all the essential amenities close by. Louise was very welcoming and informative. Nice quite location with limited number of sites. Definitely bring the mozzie repellent, but it didn't get uncomfortable.

Loved camping here with my wife and dog. Very private and filled with greenery. You will likely be woken up early from the cows and chickens nearby however, we didn't mind it at all. Will be back for sure

Lovely property, excellent facilities and wonderful hospitality. The caves and brook were lovely and there was plenty of open space for kids to kick a ball and ride bikes. There was some noise from the wedding nearby but the owners make that clear in the description and it didn't go too late. Recommended!

Well maintained site, peaceful and quiet. A few horses nearby, and orchard right behind (we weren’t in season for fruit picking though). Portaloo and tap to wash up close by. Flushable toilet and showers a few minutes walk away.
Mini easy hike to a waterfall nearby - watch out for leeches though!
Our highlight was toasting marshmallow under the stars and spotting Jupiter with the kids ✨

Beautiful spot! The views were amazing and the sunset unreal. Mei and family were super friendly and helpful and the space is very welcoming and inviting. The land is big enough that you feel semi private in your camping spot but with clean and high quality toilets and showers and a great communal area for relaxing, games and sheltering from the weather
