    We are located just south of the Mogo township on the NSW south coast, in prime position for mountain biking fanatics as the Maulbrooks Mountain Bike Park and Mogo State Forest are just to our west. We are 5 mins from the New MOGO MTB trails! On hot days you can grab your swimmers, snorkel and surfboard, and head down to a number of beaches at Tomakin and Broulee (15 mins from camp). When exploring the region, don't forget to stop in at the famous township of Mogo. This gorgeous village offers a quirky mix of art, crafts, homewares and collectibles, as well as fantastic food, clothing, specialty items, and well known favourites like Mogo Fudge or some marshmallows to toast on the campfire. The campsite is nestled amongst the tall gum trees and overlooks the dam. There is a firepit with a hot plate for delicious camp out dinners and firewood is available for sale under Extras. There is access to a toilet and rubbish facilities, but you will need to bring your own drinking water and shower. We can cater for all types of camping vehicles and tents, including 2WD. The campsite is generally flat but your vehicle may require a little levelling. We welcome well behaved pets (we have dogs ourselves so your pet must be friendly).

    When you stay at Sunset Point you have lake frontage onto Borang Lake ( 4km from Potato Point), which connects directly with the Tuross lakes. You are able to launch your own tinny at our private jetty. A firepit is provided and you can collect your own wood yourself, or purchase a $25 a wheel barrow load with your booking. Wildlife is plentiful here, so please respect the environment and clean up after your self. There are some amazing local beaches only minutes to Potato Point or down the back track 10 minute drive or, ride your pushie or walk (its a bit of a walk) - straight to Blackfellows Point at Potato Point. There are lovely walking tracks around the property and lots of fishing, kayaking, SUP or pop your Tinnie in and fish till sunset or just plain lazy days. Watch the sunrise or walk to the other side of the property and watch the sunset. Watching the moon rise on the lake is quite beautiful. Launch your tinny and go fishing or simply kayak or lazy around. The site is dog friendly, but your pet must be well behaved and not aggressive as there may be other campers and pets on the property during your stay and a Sunset Point Camp Cat. You may not be right next to each other but please respect other guests, with noise. Just 10 minutes from the charming village of Bodalla, which was founded on the back of dairy farming and cheese production back in the 1860s. 30 minutes drive either way to the hubs of Narooma and Moruya. No barking dogs and no loud music or parties. This is a peaceful getaway. Short car trip to famous beaches where you leave nothing but footprints. It's our secret!

    Our 4 acre property is located near the small town of Nelligen which is on the beautiful Clyde River and is one of Australia's nicest rivers. We are offering one large grassy site so campers will be surrounded by open space and nature whilst also having plenty on privacy when staying on our property. Access to the Clyde River, Cafes, local pub and Boat ramp are all within walking distance. Our property is also a great place for Trail bike riders to base themselves as we have endless trails out in the mountains behind us.The hosts and their family are very friendly and love animals. On the property you will find cats, dogs, chickens and lots of kangaroos. You’re very welcome to bring your pets and we have a really nice lock-up yard and dog/cat house if you’d like to venture out without your animals for the day. A fire pit is provided so you can enjoy a campfire each evening. Please follow any fire restrictions in place during your stay.Please note: we take self-contained campers with own toilet only.

    Orange Grove was established in 1856 on the banks of the cylde River Nelligen. It is set on 40 acres nestled on the edge of the Village of Nelligen, (15min Walk to its cafe and pub) and 8km west of Batemans Bay (10mindrive). Our camp grounds are set up on the Clyde's banks, all able to support enough area and access for 2wd, 4wd, RV and Car Camper set ups. Orange Grove, has a small basic boat ramp (there are public ramps 2mins down the road). With a beach and pontoon, you are able to leave your boat in the river for the duration of your stay. Batemans Bay is 15min down stream, an easy ride to pick up items not found in Nelligen. Our camp ground has a covered area with BBQ Facilites, tables, chairs, Water, fire pit (used in under the correct conditions), a toilet (Bring own Toilet paper). We are pet friendly, however we do have wildlife on the property and livestock, so we ask that have full control and take responsibility of your pets. We always have a presence on the property and have good Telstra coverage, so although you feel a million miles from nowhere you also feel secure.

It has flat areas with plenty of free timber for the designated fire pits. I have tried to create a haven for wildlife including Kangaroos, wombats, echidnas and platypus. I cherish the cleanliness of the river and surrounds and wish to be able to share this special environment with others who care to preserve all it offers. You can explore the property along the tracks, paddle, swim or fish in the river, enjoy the fauna, wildlife and birdlife. Located not far from Braidwood, a town steeped in history, with good shopping, coffee shops and great food. Sloping to flat land amongst the Scribbly Gum trees offering a number of sites and walks through the property. It provides both sun and shade. Access is good for vans of any size along a track through the bushland. Lovely swimming spots in the Mongalowe River, beautiful clear water, and several lovely bushwalks around the property.     Kookaburra is a 20-acre farm located between Ulladulla and Nowra on the NSW South Coast, just under a three-hour drive from Sydney and Canberra. It offers a peaceful and authentic bush experience, ideal for a weekend getaway or an overnight stop, especially for those travelling through the Jervis Bay area. You can choose to set up camp in an open paddock or relax under the shade of tree canopies. A short bushwalk will take you to a quiet creek, and the area is home to local wildlife, including kookaburras, wallabies, and secretive wombats. The farm also has a variety of animals, including cows, chickens, a horse, and a pig, who may greet you when you arrive. At Kookaburra, we ensure guests have plenty of space and privacy, though you may see other visitors in the area. We operate on a self-sufficient basis, so please take your rubbish with you (please don't leave toilet paper on the ground) and respect the natural environment. If you plan to arrive after dark, please let us know in advance so we can assist with arrangements. Fires are allowed (subject to fire danger conditions), and you're welcome to gather your firewood.     Overview

    Located at the mouth of the Clyde River, Batemans Bay makes a great base to explore the Eurobodalla Shire. Taste succulent oysters straight from the farm gate in this seafood-rich region, hike through national parks, or go swimming, kayaking, surfing, canoeing or fishing at one of the area’s many deserted beaches. Animal lovers can keep an eye out for native wildlife such as koalas and kangaroos, or guarantee an encounter with a visit to Birdland Animal Park or Mogo Wildlife Park, located in the historic town of Mogo nearby.

    Clyde River National Park

    Cross the bridge north out of town and head to Clyde River National Park, which has 9km of river frontage perfect for water sports such as kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Offering views over the river towards the Pacific Ocean, Holmes Lookout is a great spot for picnics, with the chance to spot birdlife such as kookaburras, colourful parrots and honeyeaters while you’re there.

    Birdland Animal Park

    This wildlife park in Batemans Bay is another great place to see birds including black swans, pelicans and egrets, as well as native Australian animals such as orphaned wombat joeys and reptiles, including goannas.

    Murramarang National Park

    Around 20 minutes’ drive north of town, Murramarang National Park is also a haven for wildlife, with eastern grey kangaroos and peregrine falcons and sea eagles among those you are likely to see. The park, which stretches for 44km along the coast, abounds with pristine beaches, cliffs and headlands to explore. It is one of the few places in Australia where spotted gum trees grow all the way to the beach, providing welcome shade during summer. The family-friendly Durras Lake Discovery Trail is a fun and easy walk, with everything from stepping stones to jump across and tree logs to balance on.

    Observation Point

    Heading south of Batemans Bay, Observation Point is another great lookout and picnic area, with views over the beach and out to Snapper Island.

    Mogo

    Despite many of its buildings being damaged in the December 2019 bushfires, the gold rush town of Mogo is definitely worth a visit. Enjoy lunch at Mogo Pies, pop into Mogo Fudge to stock up on sweet treats, and meander the eclectic shops, such as Roman Leathergoods, In & Out homewares and arts and crafts store Amanda’s of Mogo. The town is also known for its zoo, Mogo Wildlife Park, which is home to the largest collection of primates in the country and many rare and exotic species, including Sumatran tigers, snow leopards, southern white rhinos and white lions.

    When to go

    The warmest weather is from December to March, when temperatures average daily high above 74°F. June to August are the coldest months, but they are also the best time for spotting whales during their annual migration. February is usually the wettest month, while August is the driest. The shortest day of the year is in June, with less than 10 hours of daylight, while the longest is in late December with more than 14 hours of daylight.

    • Batemans Bay is around a four-hour drive south from Sydney and two hours from Australia’s capital, Canberra. It is a popular spot for Canberrans, including politicians, to holiday.
