The Witches Garden on the Mitta Mitta River

Our Mitta River and Callaghan Creek unpowered campsites are along waterways where there is access to the water. Not far from these camp sites is our garden which we open to the public for weddings and events. The gardens are very extensive and beautiful and there are chooks and a large vegie garden and in season (usually summer and autumn) we have excess veg available to campers. We also have chooks and farm animals so dogs must be kept under control. Our area has very little mobile phone coverage but if you are with Telstra you will be fine as there is a Telstra tower not far away. On Callaghan Creek Road we have a peaceful camping spot by the creek. This is in a secluded and very pretty spot on our farm. 4 wheel drive needed as you will be driving across paddocks and down a short steep hill to the creek. Off-road caravan friendly. Children welcome but must be supervised at all times (farms can be dangerous) Well behaved dogs on lead are allowed. No amenities campers must have own camping toilet and be self-contained.

Samsons Gully is a working cattle farm nestled in a stunning private valley. If you are after peace and tranquillity this is where you will find it. We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing. The favourite camp site is on the banks of the Cudgewa Creek. However, there are plenty of places to camp in the bush for those wanting more seclusion. Samsons Gully is a perfect base to explore the Upper Murray. 20 minutes away is Corryong where there is an IGA, service stations, dump point, Dr and hospital, pubs and cafes. 10 minutes away is the Cudgewa pub who do dinner Wednesday through to Sunday evenings. Our property suits fully self contained campers only as there is not toilet or shower. Dogs and horses are welcome but must be well behaved and kept close to your camp site as this is a working cattle property. Due to council regulations we can only open one site up at a time. This ensures that your time here will be exclusive, peaceful and private.

Hunters Spread is located in the Victorian High Country nestled in between Yackandandah and Myrtleford. A great place to bring your horse to explore Hunters Spread bushland, Mt Big Ben, Mt Jack and Mt Buffalo national park. Whilst our horse yards are being built, we can offer a safe and secure laneway for your horses to be kept for $10 per horse per night. The farm offers a campsite with brand new accessible amenities including hot shower (limited). Firepits are permitted and wood will be provided (depending on fire restrictions in place at the time of booking). We welcome pets on leashes, but they must be under control at all times by owners and cleaned up after. We ask that you organise and confirm any animals coming to the farm prior to booking by message. The camp site can cater up to 30 people. $35.00 per person per night (except children under 10 years old). All persons under 18 years of age are to be supervised whilst on the farm. Alternatively, for people not wanting to camp out or those with caravans or RV’S we have a site in close proximity to a 20 x 9 mtr shed, powered with concrete slab. The shed site is $45.00 per person per night. Hunters Spread is approximately 3.5 hours from Melbourne. The farm is approximately 30 minutes drive to Beechworth, Bright and Lake Buffalo and about 50kms to Albury Wodonga. Our Callaghan Creek camp is in a secluded and very pretty spot on our farm. Access is via a dirt track across paddocks and down a short steep slope to the creek. Children are welcome but must be supervised at all times as farms can be dangerous places. There are large animals, snakes and deep water. Well-behaved dogs on a lead are allowed.
