We are a working farm with cattle. The property features dense forest, sparse forest and open paddocks.
The farm has calves which are hand fed, lots of birdlife, a dam for canoeing, and a pontoon on the dam for sunbaking. Our property is located close to Mt Baw Baw, 1.5 hours from Mt Hotham, and 40 mins to beach.
Sit around the campfire in the evenings and enjoy a little star gazing.
This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is access to a drinking water supply. There is a shelter with a basic kitchen including an oven, cooktop burner and a dishwashing station. The kitchen has a pot belly fireplace to keep warm.
We ask that you leave no trace and take all rubbish and belongings with you. During wet weather our paddocks do get a bit boggy so please send me a message to discuss, if you're unsure about your vehicle.
We're located close to the snowies for all your mountain and snow adventures. Mountain bike riding and National Parks nearby, enjoy a quiet weekend or as busy as you like.

Thanks for hosting us, Pete!
It was a road off the beaten track, but instructions on finding the campsite were easy to follow.
The paddock is mostly trees, with ideal camp sites adjacent to the entrance or the far side of the paddock.
There’s an unused shack at the end with tank water (possibly with tannins or rust), the shack door was wide open and the shack is covered with a light dusting. Looks to be unused for quite some time, with a shed/car port, and a caravan parked in the driveway paddock beyond.
We woke to cows mooing and birdsong.
There’s a firepit with cooktop and a wooden picnic table, a trampoline and two tonka tip trucks on site.
Our kids loved this part of the adventure and we’d come back again.

We had a fantastic stay in the Cabin! Starting from super supportive and welcoming host George, surrounded by wallabies and luaghing kookaburras.
Cabin was very tidy and clean, all amenities in good condition, and marvellous views.
We would definitely come back!

Bush Camp is a such a great spot to stay! Great facilities- a fire pit (with a stack of wood), clean water on tap and a large area to set up and relax.
Scott is a really nice fella and made sure we were comfortable. Will definitely recommend it to friends.

It was warm and very welcoming
There’s everything you need as well as the option to use the main kitchen
It’s such a peaceful oasis of nature with many non humans around
George and the other volunteers were gracious and very helpful
The quiet nights were balm for the soul and the bed and bedding really comfortable

Weekend Trip to SIBA Retreat Centre
Cabin 4 was a great experience. My wife and I had a fantastic time in the seclusion and serenity. The cabin itself had all of the necessary inclusions, and the wood stove provided excellent warmth throughout the night.. The toilet block is a close stroll
The highlight would have to be seeing the stars from the back porch and waking up to the views of mountains and frost on the pastures.
George was fantastic and nothing was too hard. We had a great stay and will definitely be back when we are down there next.

Super peaceful place to stay. George seemed lovely during our brief interaction. We camped down the hill on the open grass patch, the weekend we were there the retreat Centre was having some classes so there was occasional gong ringing at various times but it was pretty distant for us. Beautiful property. Bring everything as the nearest town is 15 minutes drive away.

Pete's place was really wonderful and peaceful. Exactly what we were after to break off our crazy stress from our lives in the city for a few days.
If you are lucky you will see a man harvesting the honey bee hives at the farm and you will be able to buy delicious honey. This man is not Pete, it is someone else that lives in Stratford and just comes to harvest the honey bee hives
The description says potable water available. Well yes water is available at the little house next to the camp site but certainly not potable. It was good only for a camp shower or cleaning the dishes

We had an amazing stay, the cottage was beautiful, spacious and clean. We had wallabies visiting in the morning and evening, and it was fantastic to listen to the birds all around. Very peaceful and we'll definitely be back!

Siba is quite a big complex of buildings, permaculture and gardens as well as animals in a peaceful rural position. We were met by the very friendly and helpful Evan who showed us around. He explained that we were able to use the bathrooms with showers and the well equipped kitchen, and were also welcome to use the yoga studio. We only used the bathrooms in the end and didn't see many other people about so it was nice and private. There were lots of birds and kangaroos around the camping area and it was a pleasant and interesting place to camp. Very pleasant hosts!
