Only a minutes walk from a quaint “outback” general store with giftware, lunch and a good coffee. Onsite we have a range of farm animals (cows, chickens and sheep). Locally there are many walks and tracks ideal for families wanting to see some of what Gippsland has to offer. Situated on the Princes Highway, about 18 minutes from Orbost and 10 minutes drive from a public dump station. If you’re travelling between Sydney and Melbourne and want a peaceful break, this is it! We are a working farm with cattle. The property features dense forest, sparse forest and open paddocks. The farm has calves which are hand fed, lots of birdlife, a dam for canoeing, and a pontoon on the dam for sunbaking. Our property is located close to Mt Baw Baw, 1.5 hours from Mt Hotham, and 40 mins to beach. Sit around the campfire in the evenings and enjoy a little star gazing. This campsite suits self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower. There is access to a drinking water supply. There is a shelter with a basic kitchen including an oven, cooktop burner and a dishwashing station. The kitchen has a pot belly fireplace to keep warm. We ask that you leave no trace and take all rubbish and belongings with you. During wet weather our paddocks do get a bit boggy so please send me a message to discuss, if you're unsure about your vehicle. We're located close to the snowies for all your mountain and snow adventures. Mountain bike riding and National Parks nearby, enjoy a quiet weekend or as busy as you like. Well behaved pets welcome.

Welcome to beautiful Paradise Beach. This property is just a street away from beach access to the stunning 90 mile beach, suitable for fishing or long peaceful walks. Keep an eye out for the local wildlife and make sure to catch the wonderful sunrises and sun sets. The property slopes down from the roadside to a flat clearing surrounded by trees for privacy. There is room to pitch a tent (or a few) and still have space for seating, a campfire or portable shelter. You'll find the entrance to the clearing from the 22 sign at the front of the property. Vehicles can be parked roadside, and camping equipment carried the few metres down to the clearing. Guests will need to be fully self contained as there is no power, water, washing facilities, sewage or potable water on the site, only peace and quite and easy access to the Beach. Guests will need to take all rubbish with them including biodegradable waste, food, cigarette butts, etc. Please note that this campsite is for quiet enjoyment only with sound to be kept to a minimum in the evening. Sound can carry easily, especially at night and we don't want to upset the residents of neighbouring properties. Campfires can be lit but fire danger ratings and restrictions must be strictly adhered to. You are welcome to use any available wood that we generally stack throughout the year. Pets are allowed but are required to be on a leash and under control. Please note that there are often mosquitos in this area due to the nearby shallow lakes and therefore we highly recommend you bring adequate insect repellent. The property is located 3.5 hours east of Melbourne. A short drive down the road you'll find Golden Beach that has a general store, a takeaway shop, great picnic areas, bathrooms and shower facilities for a small fee. There are also toilets at the nearby Paradise Beach Campground. Loch Sport is 25 minutes away and the larger town of Sale is 30 minutes away so all amenities are within short access. We kindly ask that you please provide any feedback of issues identified or any maintenance needed on the property such as rubbish or fallen branches. Note - The bell tent is not permanently located on the property.

Golden Beach area is flat and there is a beautiful quite spot on the 90 Mile Beach with a section of coastal reserve with all properties set back from the beach. We have plenty of flat off street parking for BIKES, BOATS, CARAVANS and TRAILERS. Happy to announce we welcome pets by arrangement (and at our complete discretion after discussing your requirements - taking into account who is already booked in).

Loved everything about this place! A great location close to the beach and a short drive to facilities and the store at Golden Beach. The site itself feels private even though there are many houses around. A nice place to do basic camping and feel "away from it all", with plenty of wildlife. Definitely recommend!

Thanks for hosting us, Pete! It was a road off the beaten track, but instructions on finding the campsite were easy to follow. The paddock is mostly trees, with ideal camp sites adjacent to the entrance or the far side of the paddock. There’s an unused shack at the end with tank water (possibly with tannins or rust), the shack door was wide open and the shack is covered with a light dusting. Looks to be unused for quite some time, with a shed/car port, and a caravan parked in the driveway paddock beyond. We woke to cows mooing and birdsong. There’s a firepit with cooktop and a wooden picnic table, a trampoline and two tonka tip trucks on site. Our kids loved this part of the adventure and we’d come back again.

Our maiden voyage in the camper couldn’t have been more perfect. The campsite felt like stepping back into our childhood on the farm, surrounded by beautiful trees, crackling fire pit, and cheeky cows keeping us company. Simple, peaceful, and full of nostalgia. A wonderful spot to unwind and reconnect with nature. We’ll definitely be back!

Bush Camp is a such a great spot to stay! Great facilities- a fire pit (with a stack of wood), clean water on tap and a large area to set up and relax. Scott is a really nice fella and made sure we were comfortable. Will definitely recommend it to friends. Thanks for having us!

Beautiful private site that provides shade. Perfect base for exploring the 90 mile Beach and the small picturesque towns of Golden and Paradise Beach and beyond. Sheridan's communication was great, he provided a access map the night before to make sure I found the place which was easy. Will be back.

Pete's place was really wonderful and peaceful. Exactly what we were after to break off our crazy stress from our lives in the city for a few days. If you are lucky you will see a man harvesting the honey bee hives at the farm and you will be able to buy delicious honey. This man is not Pete, it is someone else that lives in Stratford and just comes to harvest the honey bee hives The description says potable water available. Well yes water is available at the little house next to the camp site but certainly not potable. It was good only for a camp shower or cleaning the dishes

Beautiful peaceful location on a private camp site. The area is flatish but some levelling may be required. It's close to the Princes Highway so expect some road noise during the day. This will vary according to the wind direction and your camping position. The upper part of the field was much quieter. As others have noted, road noise significantly drops off during the night and it was very peaceful. Either way, it wasn't a problem for us. Evan was very welcoming- great fellow! The fact that all Hipcamp income goes to the Cancer Council gives this site a big tick of approval.
