Champlain Valley Alpacas and Beef is a family farm owned and operated by the Foshay family since 1998.  Our girls, Gracie and Olivia are grown now.   Gracie is married to Jaron and they live in Alabama. Olivia is a nurse and currently is living at home which is a huge blessing to Mom and Dad. Our herd of alpacas once was shown successfully in the Eastern States, now mostly range on the farm, having sweet cria (babies), growing magnificent fiber and effortlessly entertaining throngs of wedding guests! Our beef herd, comprised of Black and Red Angus, Hereford and Belted Galways has fluxuated as the market and hay supplies demand. We have a vineyard of Marquette grapes that are so delicious, that we have to race the birds for them in the fall. Our land is quiet, off the beaten path, and brimming with beautiful views of mountains, hills, valleys with winding creeks.  This property has seen years of agriculture as a sheep farm, dairy farm and a fence company.  We are happy to share this land and  our gentle creatures with you. Learn more about this land: We are a working Alpaca and Beef farm in Central Vermont. Our cottage is available in the spring, summer and fall to Airbnb guests. Recently we have added the winter season for the adventurous Clamping crowd. The cottage is very private, with alpacas nearby. Hiking, xc-skiing (bring your own) and The Vast (Snowmobile)trails are also nearby. We have amazing western views of the Adirondack mountains, and are 20 minutes from Middlebury, Vergennes; 1 hour from Burlington and Rutland and 45min from Middlebury Snowbowl Ski Area.We are a working Alpaca and Beef farm in Central Vermont. Warm cabin with alpaca backdrop!
I just wanted to write about Les and Jenny's place and share our absolute delight with our recent stay. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the most adorable alpacas! They added such a charming touch to our surroundings and made for some wonderful photo opportunities. The cabin was immaculate, warm, and cozy with the pellet stove - the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The little touches of cabin decor and the abundant windows for natural light, really made us feel at home (that we wish to have!). We've already recommended your the cabin to our friends, and we will find an excuse come back again soon! Reminder: no running water and winter-y things like that! But there is electricity & the pellet stove was a luxury!

What an absolutely stunning property. The views are beautiful and the animals, ranging from a barn cat, a wonderful dog, and some endearingly funny looking alpacas, add a charm of their own to your stay. Les and Jenny were gracious hosts, communicative, and even went as far as to invite me to church Sunday morning. Overall, my dog and I had a great stay in a serene environment; it was just the weekend we were looking for. I will certainly be back to stay with the Alpacas again.

We came here for our one year anniversary and it was beautiful! The pictures can’t do the place enough justice, it’s amazingly cozy and spacious inside the cabin, there are an array of animals ranging from alpacas to farm cats to dogs, etc. Les and Jenny always checked in on us and made sure we were warm and always had water, would recommend!

Perfectly peaceful weekend away
With pets
We (two humans and a dog) had never "glamped" before and expected to be roughing if at least a little. Instead we were comfy and warm with lots of room to spread out inside the homey cottage and acres of peaceful scenic views outside. Our favorite part: waking up to see alpacas roaming directly outside our window. Les and Jenny were excellent hosts - friendly and accommodating, and such lovely people! We felt like we were staying with friends.

Jenny and Les' property was the perfect weekend getaway for me and my pup! I was able to work from the cottage with the wifi (video calls and everything!), and even though it was late March, the space heaters kept me more than comfortable. The property is beautiful, and the alpacas are adorable. Would highly recommend visiting!

Cozy and private cabin
The cabin was very clean and cozy, it is a cute place and hanging out with the Alpacas was awesome. We visited in early spring, there was a space heater and Les got the pellet stove going in the evening, the cottage was very warm. Les and Jenny were both kind and accommodating, and the property was easy to find. We would definitely return! A small note that the bathroom didn't have running water during the winter, so you would have to be alright with minimal bathroom amenities. During the other seasons there is a working sink, toilet and shower within the cabin!
