Viento Campground
Description
Mid-April through October, the humbly striking Viento Campground offers flush toilets, hot showers, picnic tables, fire rings, disability accessible campsites, 56 electrical sites with water and 18 tent sites. But beyond these practical amenities, what the Viento campground truly provides, is a perfect launching pad for versatile Columbia Gorge exploration. Viento nestles near an abundance of hiking trails, two vibrant towns, the mighty Columbia River and the sweet smelling, waterfall-crazed, verdant landscape that claims this part of Oregon with a fierce pride.
Camp beside the river and the shape of ancient rock and fold the train horns from the nearby railroad into your soundtrack--call it part of the Columbia Gorge charm.
Plan your trip to Viento or make it a spontaneous stop over on your adventure down the Gorge. Lucky for you reservations are not required!
