Description
Get in touch with some of the culture and history of central Missouri at Van Meter Campground. Van Meter State Park was once an indigenous settlement, and today visitors can wander through burial mounds and earthwork, and can even learn more about the area’s history at the American Indian Cultural Center. Besides a fascinating history, Van Meter boasts lush forests, tall trees, and the winding Missouri River. Campsites are shaded, modern, and oh-so spacious.
