Perhaps better named “Popular River Campground,” Platte River camp is one of the most frequented places to pick a spot in all of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. What’s all the hype about? A variety of campsites including reservable, FCFS, modern, hike-in, and some just straight up rustic sites offer a little somethin’ for everyone to enjoy. There is a beach nearby (raises hands) however, the shores are pebble instead of sand. It’s good to switch it up now and then, right?
