All aboard on the Delta Heritage Trail State Park! This park offers hiking and biking opportunities along the former Union Pacific Railroad in southeast Arkansas. Adventurers can enjoy dramatic vistas that span the Arkansas and White Rivers. You’ll meander through a trail shaded by the canopies of native hardwoods, alongside picturesque agricultural fields, across waterways, and filled with wildlife viewing and birdwatching. This “rails to trails” park is one of Arkansas’s gems, and is a great way to celebrate our railroad history and the great outdoors. This place is not to be missed!
The best time to visit Delta Heritage Trail State Park is during the peak season from March to November, when the visitor center is open daily and full services are available. Off-peak season offers a quieter visit but with reduced hours and services.
