We have an 18 acre site with pecan groves and old buildings perfectly situated to be a base for Mississippi Delta explorations to Clarksdale and blues country. Located on the farm where Muddy Waters grew up and was first recorded. RV Sites offer power and water, but no gray water disposal or septic. Short term rentals only. Camping is primitive. Stovall Store hosts sporadic pop-up music events. Visit @TheStovallStore on Facebook for more info or @stovallstore on Insta. This is such a great spot to urban camp. If you're into the blues, this is the place! Our class A fit right into the ruins of the old cotton gin. The whole place is a vibe. Muddy Waters lived here! What more do you want?! The weather was gorgeous. Howard gave us excellent recommendations. We wandered all around the area. Found the crossroads. (All three of 'em!) Ate too many hot tamales. We absolutely loved it here. Thanks Howard, for sharing your little bit of history. (And for helping our part get to us!)

Abandoned?
Had we stayed when something was going on and others were around it may have been better, but when we got there everything looked abandoned and no one was around. There's no trash dumpsters or bathrooms available, a porta-pottie or something on premise would be appreciated. Also, if you're here be aware of mosquitoes because they're out for blood.

Loved the nearby town of Clarksdale, exploring some history of the blues. If electric and water is all you need, this spot should work for you. Stovall is mostly cotton fields! Clarksdale is 15 minutes by car. If you love blues music and camping you should certainly visit.

The home of Muddy Waters... what?!
A very cool setting with some interesting history. The old cotton gin and the surrounding grounds were nice. A bit of a busy road going by, but generally quiet. If timing had been better, we likely would have been very entertained with some fantastic blues.
