Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Millwood Lake adventure.
Discover Millwood Lake's serene waters and abundant wildlife.
Located in southwest Arkansas where the Little and Saline rivers meet, Millwood Lake is like that Pixar movie that everyone can enjoy. Fans of the area swear it has some of the best fishing in the country due to 35,000 acres of submerged timber that make excellent homes for many varieties of fish. Seriously though, we’re being a little modest. This lake has some of the best largemouth bass fishing in the nation, with a plethora of bass fishing tournaments and derbies to back up that claim.
Aside from being a holy grail for anglers, this is an excellent wildlife viewing spot featuring white-tailed deer, bobwhite quail, squirrel, dove, rabbit, raccoon, armadillo, opossum, fox, mink, and beaver. Picture that Noah’s Ark of animals frolicking among remarkable flora life such as gum, oak, birch, pine, juniper, flowering shrubs, and wildflowers. Aw heck, stop reading this. Just get in the car and go!
The best time to visit Millwood Lake is during the spring and fall when the weather is mild and the natural scenery is at its peak. Summer offers warm days perfect for water activities, though it's also the busiest season. Winters can be chilly, making some facilities less accessible.
