Once the site for railway workers, lumberjacks and a private farm. Learn more about this land: Park your RV, camper, trailer.  This is basic dry / self-contained camping.  Drive thru grass field to gravel packed parking sites.  No water or bathrooms provided.  You pack it in  & you pack it out!  Close to Millersyvania State Park and 1-5.   Millersylvania State Park is 903 acres and includes old growth, hiking and 3,300 feet of freshwater shoreline. Maytown’s closest restaurant is the Farm Boy, with hearty breakfast and great burgers/shakes. We are also close to the historic city of Tenino with a public swimming quarry and quaint downtown where many buildings were built with sandstone from Tenino. The Maytown property itself was founded as a lumber town in 1911. Folk etymology says the name come from a first settler saying, “It May become a town, and it may not, so I’ll call it Maytown.” For the adventurous, one can walk across the railroad tracks and go to the right to pick a beautiful nature trail thru the woods. If stay to the right you end up at the Maytown quarry in about 30-40 minutes.  Other gravel trails go for miles and lead to Millersylvania, Scott Lake, a pond and other neighborhoods.  These are unmarked trails.

Great little campsite!
28 ft travel trailer · With pets ·
My family and I had a wonderful time! We were able to back in our trailer and we had the place to ourselves for our stay. It was all dry camping and no bathrooms. Which was no problem because we had our generator. The owner who greeted us was very helpful and friendly and offered us free firewood! State park nearby for some great hiking! We were able to just get away and get some quality family time and relax. Thank you!

Great sites and convenient location
If was a nice spot, with three great back in sites. The sites are removed from the houses and longer term renters. Really convienient spot near Millersylvania and Tumwater! Loved the picnic table and the firepit. Cute camping site the have created! The only drawback is not a lot of privacy from cars driving by. Wish there were trees blocking the main road! But definitely would stay again:)

Great, convenient overnight stay!
Great little property! Nate (property owner) owns the land where he has built 3 parking spaces for van/truck campers to park. The land also has a large field, a tavern he is getting ready to open, and an RV park. There is no toilet or potable water so make sure you come prepared! Nate is currently in the process of trying to get some power to the sites - but for being right off the highway, it was the perfect stop for anyone roadtripping and needing a place to park! Excited to stop by again when the tavern opens!!
