Park your RV, camper, trailer. This is basic dry / self-contained camping. Drive thru grass field to gravel packed parking sites. No water or bathrooms provided. You pack it in & you pack it out! Close to Millersyvania State Park and 1-5.
Millersylvania State Park is 903 acres and includes old growth, hiking and 3,300 feet of freshwater shoreline. Maytown’s closest restaurant is the Farm Boy, with hearty breakfast and great burgers/shakes. We are also close to the historic city of Tenino with a public swimming quarry and quaint downtown where many buildings were built with sandstone from Tenino.
The Maytown property itself was founded as a lumber town in 1911. Folk etymology says the name come from a first settler saying, “It May become a town, and it may not, so I’ll call it Maytown.”
For the adventurous, one can walk across the railroad tracks and go to the right to pick a beautiful nature trail thru the woods. If stay to the right you end up at the Maytown quarry in about 30-40 minutes. Other gravel trails go for miles and lead to Millersylvania, Scott Lake, a pond and other neighborhoods. These are unmarked trails.
