The Power House Ranch Learn more about this land: The campsites at Power House Ranch are nestled in the tress along Thurston County's Salmon Creek. Salmon Creek is a tributary of the larger, slow flowing Black River and boasts the presence of Cutthroat, Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass and Blue Gill. The water and proximity to nearby preserves attracts birds, rabbit, deer, and other friendly wildlife. Drift off to sleep at night to the sounds of frogs croaking and coyotes howling in the distance. Our homestead is conveniently located near county hiking trails, Black River National Wildlife Refuge, Mima Mounds Natural Preserve, Capital Forest, and Millersylvania State Park. Guests of our ranch are invited to relax creek side at our open firepit. Free firewood is available on-site and should only be burned in the community pit. Foraging for firewood is not allowed. We must reserve the right to dis-allow campfires during the unpredictable fire season. In this event we will allow the use of propane firepits. (Propane and firepits can be rented on-site) Make use of our covered outdoor kitchen (grill, flattop, and smoker), enjoy our lawn game collection (Cornhole, Giant Jenga, Connect 4, Ring Toss & more), try your luck panning for gold on the banks, or suspend hammocks and slacklines among the Fir, Cedar and Maple trees. A drive-up primitive campsite located by our hobby Christmas Tree Farm (coming soon) is available for tent camping with parking for passenger vehicles only. (No trailers or vans, 2 tents max, 4 people max) No wood fires at this site, propane firepits are allowed. $35/night, up to 3 nights. An RV campsite with 20/50 amp power connections is situated alongside our greenhouse and Chick Chalet (coming soon). No wood fires at this site, propane firepits are allowed. $55/night, up to 3 nights. Private entry to camping areas via the main farm entrance. We are 5 minutes from Villa Grove Chevron convenience store and two 24 hr truck stops. Nearby dining and drink options include breweries in Olympia, Tumwater, Rochester, and a distillery in Grand Mound. We do not provide black water dumping. Dumping is permitted at the nearby Maytown or Scatter Creek Rest Areas. No Pets other than medical assistants 4 Guests/Site Potable Water Available No Showers No Toilets (Outhouse coming soon)

Cool creek bed!
10 ft RV · With kids ·
Loved it! Very cute landscape close to their lodging. Made it feel secure which was perfect for our daughters first camping experience. The creek was peaceful and fun to walk around barefoot. Thought it was cool that you can pan for gold if you wanted to. The grounds were clean and the hosts were nice. We would stay here again!
