This campsite offers a serene escape with a picturesque stream, making it ideal for families and nature lovers alike. While the sites offer some privacy, they are closer together than some visitors expect, so it might be worth booking multiple sites for larger groups. The host, Chris, is praised for being accommodating and helpful. The bathhouse is well-maintained but might require some patience during peak times due to limited facilities.

Super convenient and quiet

Chris and his German shepherd were great hosts. Had a sweet little spot by the creek at site #5. The bathhouse was clean and the water was nice and hot. It’s close to the road but not so close you hear much at all. Chris also helped me pick a site in order to work remotely which was very helpful. He allowed me to take my time the next day and made sure I found some trails on the property. Definitely recommend.

I really enjoy staying at Stoney Creek. This was the second visit first was site #3 this was #9. I enjoyed #9 as it was by the creek. The host Chris has and continues to make improvements to the property. Chris does what he can to accommodate the campers. There is a country store very near which carries anything needed. Stoney Creek is close the Peaks of Otter and many hiking trails. Other sites like D-Day Memorial is near by. Bathhouse is also a plus. I will definitely be returning. Thank You Chris for providing such a pleasant place to stay.

Clear directions to our spot, clean bathhouse with soap and toilet paper and a stand up shower stall and laundry!!! The creek is so peaceful, and sleeping in a tent by it was so relaxing. My husband woke up Sunday morning to a mama and baby deer right across from us! We plan to return. The mom and pop store across the street was also cute! It is closed on Sundays :-)

Nothing like creekside camping

Just a perfect little spot to stop and spend some time right on a creek. It was quiet and private. We enjoyed our stay with a nice fire pit and swing by the creek and would definitely stay again. Directions were on point and site easy to find.

Camping at Chris’s
Amazing campsite along with an amazing host. Our site was right next to the calm river with a view of the beautiful mountains. I needed some fire wood in the morning so i let Chris know and he brought it right to me. I would definitely recommend this campsite to anyone who wants a quick and quiet experience.

Casual camp!

This site was great! I camped out of the back of my truck and got to watch the creek and the sun go down. The property is beautiful, great little woods and green grass and a very clean bath house. Very tranquil little slice of VA with a beautiful view of the mountains. Recommend.
