Our property sits high on a plateau near Cole's Pond in Walden VT. Our land is a little over 100 acres in size and we use it to collect maple sap for our maple syrup production. The public pond access is less than a half mile from our driveway. Our land borders over 10,000 acres of state land and is located on a very quiet road. Top of the Mountain Vegetable Farm is a small eatery with great food, baked goods and coffee and is also within a half mile of our driveway. Our land has many woods roads as it is a sugar bush used to collect maple tree sap.
Need better directions to get there. Our GPS said 9 minutes away when we had to turn around and come in a different direction. We knew we could not make it through the washed out un-maintained road. Needed a very high clearance vehicle. So an extra 45 minutes to get there.
Porta-potty really clean, firewood and firepit great.
The campsite was great! It was fun to be camping the in the middle of a maple sugar farm. We enjoyed the privacy of the campsite and the short hike to tent site made it feel even more like being the woods. Having a picnic table was great too. Not a single complaint and would definitely stay there again!
Robert was super nice and the camp was awesome! He left us some maple syrup and couldn’t be happier! The walk to the site is up a bit of a rocky hill, and we definitely over packed for the walk, but it was a beautiful site, and would definitely go again!
