Full of scenic waterfalls along a Vermont mountain brook, our young daughter named the land after dynamite was found during renovations of the former one-room schoolhouse on the property 5 years ago. Naturalists will love the brookside trails, many dipping pools, a zip line, hammocks, and a privy with a woodland view. There are several scenic campsites on the 150 acres, but only one will be rented each night to ensure a special experience. Wifi and power available across the brook outside the farmhouse as needed. No cell service. Spend lazy days exploring the woods, reading a book in a hammock, or sunning yourself on a rock in the river. A newer, larger tent is being set up for a May 2025 launch. Roxbury is the geographic center of Vermont - which makes it a great basecamp for adventures. Warren / Sugarbush is 20-25 minutes to the west. Montpelier is 20 minutes to the north. Randolph is 20 minutes to the south. Two brewpubs are within 15 minutes. The canvas bell tent with a full-sized futon is nestled in the woods and overlooks the brook. It's on a tent platform with a chiminea and chairs for easy relaxing. The tent is a two-minute walk up the hill from the brook, firepit and hammocks, and 3-4 minutes total from the parking area. An additional two-minute walk above the tent leads to a spectacular waterfall overlook with Adirondack chairs. The zip-line is around the corner from the tent and the privy with a scenic woodland view is a one-minute walk from the tent. Being in the damp woods, the canvas tent has become discolored after a few years, but the tent and bedding are well maintained. Two low cots can be put in the tent for children as needed.

We had a great time at Chapin's campsite! There was a lot to explore and the views of the brook were gorgeous! The site felt secluded and peaceful. The hollow by the brook was a great place to read and relax. The zipline was a blast! We appreciated that Chapin sent over detailed information about the site before our stay. The tent was cozy and clean!

Great campsite. The host was very informative in pre visit communications and everything was clear. The site is right by an incredible ravine with tall waterfalls and crystal clear water and there are well labeled hiking trails to go check it all out. The tent is very nice and spacious. The tent platform makes for a fun spot to hang out. The zipline was a very pleasant surprise and is super fun! Very nice site!

Paradise in Vermont
With pets
This spot if beautiful, with just the right combination of accessibility and remoteness to really feel like you're roughing it, without being too far from civilization, just in case. It was the perfect location for our family's first camping trip with two small children (3 & 1). Our hosts provided so many extra accommodations & supplies- plenty of firewood, some potable water, extra cots for the kids, even a powerbank/flashlight- that it really made this trip a breeze. We would be thrilled to come back for one of our future family trips! Thanks for an incredible time!

What an amazing spot, and exactly what we were looking for regarding a short weekend away! The campsite was so well thought out you can tell the hosts wanted to provide a wonderful experience for their guests. We loved exploring the trails on the property, feeling like a kid again on the zip line and just relaxing by the fire. The site was very private and felt you could “get away from it all” while also being close to fun things to do in the area as well. The hosts provided detailed and well thought out instructions regarding the property and surrounding area and we were able to plan ahead regarding limited service, had absolutely no issues getting around. Would love to return again to stay for longer. Thanks!!

My friend and i traveled in from Boston to get away from the city for a few days and we had the most amazing time. Chapin was beyond helpful sending us information before about hikes, nearby restaurants, the amenities included at the camp, and the things that he would provide in order to make our stay more comfortable. The site couldn’t have been more beautiful with the brook running right passed the hammocks and the cute campfire set up. The tent was also removed / raised up from the seating area which was really nice to feel separated and able to go to bed once the campfire went out. Overall we 100% recommend this as your next place to stay! Cannot say enough good things about the entire experience.
