Primitive Site H
This place is epic. The communal kitchen is so well stocked, the showers are plentiful, clean, and hot. There are grills to use and fire rings. It’s really a cute gem of a campground. I loved the peaceful quiet of the primitive site. It was, when we were there, a bit buggy because of a nearby pond. But! They also had bug spray available. This place is really kept up nicely. Loved it.

Mosquitoes
I would like to recommend, but the mosquitos made it unbearable for primitive camping. The proximity and availability to Pedernales was great. However there is a cow pond with organic matter harvesting swarms of mosquitos that left us with no less than 50 bites each. Load up on the DEET.

Tent Site B
I’m from San Antonio and like to get away to camp any chance i get. Have been to many Hipcamp places and this one rates at the top of my list! Beautiful hill country views and clean bath house with hot showers is all I need to pitch my tent!

Primitive site G
Absolutely adorable little campsite 5 minutes from pedernales falls. It was so peaceful and we got to wake up to the cows mooing. We went camping on a weekday so we didn't see a single other person but even so our campsite was very private. The bathrooms and showers are a huge bonus that you don't usually find at a primitive sight

Very nice for star gazing
Very nice site, it was quiet and peaceful. The road down to our spot was a little bumpy, dirt road. But I have a Subaru so it was no issue. You can see the stars so brightly. I highly recommend this place, choose a primitive site.
