Good quiet spot for a quick stop on my road trip! Picnic table, fire ring, and flat spot to sleep. Dogs and I had a great time.

Paddlers Paradise
Tent
This site has incredible potential for paddlers for being only a mile from beautiful lake paddling. Unfortunately, the Sani-pot is not well maintained, and the smell at times was overwhelming throughout the site. There was also an unusual amount of broken glass in the site. The firewood quality and quantity was excellent, great job to the host. With a little improvement, this site should become a magnet for paddlers. Two beautiful lakes so close by; I want to come back.

Quiet clearing in the woods
Tent
The campsite was exactly as advertised. A quiet little clearing on the side of the mountain, complete with porta potty, hammock, and massive fire ring. Buying the firewood from Devin was definitely worth it and I had more than I was able to use. The wood was dry and burned easily. The little hunter cabin was visible from the campsite (just up the hill), but it seemed to be empty so wasn't an issue for me at all. There was the sound of dogs occasionally, and every once in awhile you could hear the road, but that's pretty common unless you're hiking miles into the woods to camp. Definitely would stay again, and recommend to everyone who wants a quiet and private getaway. My AWD suv did fine on the roads, and to be honest a car probably would be okay too unless it was muddy or icy.

Slice of wilderness heaven

Beautiful, secluded space with a magnificent white pine to relax under. Great view of the moon filtering through the tree canopy and a plethora of song birds to sing you awake in the morning. Truly a perfect getaway.
