Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
A private quiet spot at the lakes edge on the southern Oregon coast. A kayak, canoe, and paddle boards are available and swimming access. A very nice park with frisbee golf, basketball, pickle ball, skateboarding and a dog park is only a few steps away. Abundant fishing from your tent. Three different beaches are within 1 mile. Good restaurants and a small town coop too.The Lakeside site is private, right next to the lake. You might get to see a river otter swim by in the morning or you might get to hear it either bullfrog at night. There is abundant Trout fishing from your tent site or bass fishing with a less than five minute walk. You might wanna bring your paddle boards although there is a kayak for use. There is a fire ring but during fire season no fires are allowed and there is no bathroom access but the park is open bathrooms during the day and it is only a five minute walk away

We had a great stay at Kim’s property! Beautiful views and loved the easy access for paddle boarding. Our daughter especially loved the trampoline. The site is at the bottom of the property with a private gate/entrance. It is also next to a public boat launch but the site is far away enough that it didn’t bother us. Great location close to Port Orford town and beaches. Price was a little high for no electric though.

Somewhat as advertised
Tent · Group trip
This is a nice spot. Water is lovely and reasonable warm during Labor Day weekend. Nightly sunset bat display was incredible. It's advertised as private but a wall of the hosts living room windows looms over 75% of the usable space. Small groups (maybe 2-3 people) could squeeze in the private section, although it had very little sun. In a direct message she said it's fully fenced, which is not at all true. In the photo with the trampoline, the fence behind it backs up to a public boat launch where people were coming and going all weekend, disrupting our dogs. Again, not private. The host was nice but not as forthright as she could have been.

We regretfully didn't make it to Port Orford. But, communication was great. I would book with Kim again.

Super cute, very private spot right on the lake shore. Can hear the surf crashing on the beach just across the lake and over the dunes.

An okay place to camp
20 ft pop-up camper
Fairly easy to find although when we started to enter it looked like someone's back yard with a trampoline and other things. The site was good sized and provided some privacy although the owner's house sat above the site overlooking it and the water. We had two dogs and they did fine there although we had to keep them nearby so they wouldn't go uphill to visit with the owner's dog. The view of the lake was great and would be nice on a warm day but unfortunately was cloudy and cool during our visit.
