Readers and writers especially like our lakefront property. We especially encourage writers and readers looking for retreat. We facilitate relaxation and inspiration. Start with our Little Free Library. Each accommodation has a unique small Library inside . We have quiet, segregated spaces inside or outside for writing or reading. You can even purchase works by the host/author onsite. But we are not just about books. We also encourage water recreation activities: swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing. We have a free boat launch for your watercraft. We are on a small biologically special lake, the source of the Styx River, that promises quietly inspired surroundings. There is plenty of County Forest and Bruce Trailhead hiking opportunities also close by. We are motorcycle friendly with parking pads for touring riders. On our property are the following shared amenities: +Patio/deck (20'x25') with fire circle and lots of locally sourced wood +Dock and canoe/kayak launch (bring your own canoes/kayaks) +Wireless access Individual sites will also have additional amenities for your convenience. Grey Havens is waste wise: we expect guests to conserve water and remove their garbage waste. While Grey Havens was the final chapter in Tolkien's trilogy, we continue creating a paradise here.

A must-visit!

Lakefront Log Cabin

Absolutely beautiful! My fiancé and I spent the weekend at the cabin and we loved every second of our stay. The cabin is so cozy. The view of the night sky was stunning and Marc is such a wonderful person to talk to. We will definitely be coming back.

Awesome place to get away

Lakefront Log Cabin

What an absolutely awesome place! My hubby and myself were living the best of our life . Grey Havens is quiet and serene. We sat by the dock and watch the birds flying, beautiful scenery, water is so clear but we didnt swim its a bit cold. At night we lit the fire pit and barbecued after dinner we sat by the firepit and enjoy the stillness of our surrounding and best of all star gazing. The log cabin is beautiful and cozy with a rustic charm love it. We had a fantastic relaxing weekend but not enough, definitely were going back again. Thank you Grey Havens for the lovely time.

Lakefront Log Cabin

The view absolutely stunning. Spending a moment sitting sunset is wonderful. The host Marc and his wife is very nice and kind. Of coz their dog too. Patiently explain equipment and rules in site. If you are looking to spend a country side night next to a lake with your partner, this place is absolutely one of your choice.

Lakefront Log Cabin

Me and my husband booked the cabin for our anniversary and I must say the entire place is much more beautiful than the pictures. I regret mot taking enough leaves and spending more time there. Despite heavy rain and cold the cabin was super cosy, we managed to light the bonfire and kept it going for hours. The cabin has all the basic things you would need for the stay. Best part? Every single thought put into this beautiful location is eco-friendly. The host is very sweet and greeted us with warmth and informed us about everything at the cabin when we checked in. You wake up, see the best sunrise amongst tje chirping of birds and little squirrels running around. We can’t wait to come back.. A 100% recommendation to book here. DO NOT THINK TWICE.. you will enjoy every second!

It’s a great bunkie, love the setup with bonfire and all the sitting space to hangout while you watch the sun go down The host were friendly and communicative and had great selection of books to read Especially loved the sunrise!
