Our beautiful 1800’s cabin was moved to the property in the 1970’s by a former neighbor who owned the property at the time. The same neighbor also had a historic train depot moved to the property where she sold antiques out of for several years. It is not sure what the cabin was used for at that time but it certainly added charm to the antique store property. When we acquired the property years later, the cabin was in need of work. It sat for a few years until we decided to restore this lovely cabin back to it’s beautiful charm and character. Jim spent a couple years on the project working in his free time and added the porch using old wood in keeping with the natural look and feel of the cabin as well as some interior areas. Upon completion, we opened the cabin as a gift shop selling unique items including antiques, primitives and decor for a few years. We decided to transition the cabin into a place of retreat for traveling guests and still keep some of the goods we sold in the shop available for purchase. We hope that you find the cabin and property a place of peace and tranquility and will want to return. Whether passing through for a night or a few days stay, you’re always welcome in our neck of the woods. Learn more about this land: Make a stop back in time to our quiet woodland retreat with an updated 1800’s log cabin nestled on the property. At Cabin and Company, you will be parked beside this beautiful cabin and will be allowed access at your leisure for a place to sit and relax. (No overnight sleeping allowed inside) Enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (provided) while watching tv or on our covered porch outside. You may also select a movie or two from our large selection of DVDs or find a book to read among our stash of books. Play cards, engage in one of the other games provided, or just sit in the quiet of it all and rest your mind. There is a golf chipping area as well as basketball. We have WIFI at our residence on the adjacent property and some areas of the camp will pick it up better than others. There is a fire ring on site with an adjustable grate for cooking and plenty of seasoned firewood available.. We will have a few items available for purchase inside the cabin including local honey (when available) apple butter, coffee, hand crafted walking sticks and you won’t want to leave without some of these goodies. This semi secluded property is a gem and we hope you will enjoy this piece of history as much as we do. You may see wildlife such as whitetail deer and of course, there are plenty of birds and squirrels around. You won’t be disappointed in this cozy Midwest retreat and will want to make this one of your places while passing through our beautiful Ohio. Really enjoyed our time at Cabin and Company! The cabin was so cozy and warm to get out of the rain and cold weather and we still got the joys of campfires, cooking and waking up outdoors! Thanks Jim and Sharon

Cabin and Company is the best!
We continue to return to Cabin and Company year after year with our family and we always look forward to it. The cabin is so cozy and the property is beautiful in the fall. It’s a very peaceful spot and very private and enjoy sitting around the campfire. Definitely one of our favorite places to camp.!

Beautiful setting. Cabin made for comfy and cozy evening of playing games like Mancala and gin rummy. And the fire pit area was a bonus with wood ready and waiting to be burned. We enjoyed the porch too, especially for morning coffee and tea (provided). The extra details to comfort made it a special getaway. We will be back.

Happy Labor Day Weekend Campers
12 ft travel trailer
This was a well-maintained, semi-private, beautiful place to park our camper for a weekend…so much better than a crowded campground over Labor Day weekend. The air-conditioned cabin was a bonus in the heat, and the covered porch was perfect for eating meals and playing games.

Private piece of Heaven…
35 ft Class A · With pets
Cabin and company is simply a magical place. Probably the only campground we’ve been to where rainy weather would not have dampened our experience whatsoever. Just can’t say enough about this spot so happy that we found it. James & Barb

Private and relaxing retreat space
28 ft travel trailer
This is our second time staying at this site. We love how private the site is. The cabin is a great extra space to play games, read, etc. The campfire 🔥 ring is wonderful. So many cute little towns around to check out too!
