2014 it was bare land. Built a house and a farm with nice quiet relaxed atmosphere. Putting a pond and shower building in 2022, to offer fishing, swimming and paddle boating. I have a very nice bbq, patio, and fire pit for people to share. A near by local abandoned quarry for people to hike as well beautiful downtown Sandusky is only a few minutes away. Camping at this site offers a simple, rustic experience with plenty of space to set up camp on flat ground. Visitors frequently mention the friendly and helpful host, Andrew, who adds a personal touch to the stay. While most appreciate the peacefulness and convenience of the location, some have noted the presence of train noise and farm smells. This site is particularly appealing for those visiting Cedar Point, being just a short drive away, and it provides basic amenities like a porta-potty and cold shower.

We had a great experience camping here. We were in town to visit Cedar point, which was about 15 minutes away. Location was easy to find, host was very nice, and we would certainly camp here again.

We arrived after dark and it was easy to find the place and set up camp. There were no mosquitoes or flies even though we were close to the cattle barn. The ground was flat. There was some train noise but not enough to interfere with sleeping. In the morning, we had a great conversation with Andrew, who was very friendly and open. We definitely recommend his HipCamp.

Great host and nice spot. Close to. town and easy to access. Mostly quiet, though the freight train will go by twice a day sometimes early in the morning or late at night. Also, if you have a bigger camper, make sure to arrive from the north only! When coming from the south, there is a really low bridge (13') to go under with a sharp left hand turn immediately after. Bigger RV's will not be able to go through there.
