Experience mountain glamping at its finest in the heart of Western North Carolina, near the charming towns of Highlands and Cashiers, NC! Nestled amidst breathtaking scenery, our off-grid space offers the perfect opportunity to unplug, relax, and immerse yourself in the crisp mountain air. With countless waterfalls and hiking trails just around the corner, adventure awaits at every turn. Allow this serene setting to serve as your base camp as you embark on your next great outdoor excursion. Indulge in the tranquility of nature and let the mountains be your refuge from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.1. Basic Amenities. Our glamping site is simple, clean, and peaceful. We provide coffee supplies, minifridge, sink, camp stove, basic cooking utensils (including pots), a BBQ grill, and a solo fireplace. 2. Composting toilets. Don't knock it till you try it. These composting toilets are incredibly simple, clean, but revolutionary. We use sawdust from a local sawmill to absorb stinky smells and odors. The carbon in the sawdust captures nitrogen (the stinky part.) Once you are finished, instead of flushing, cover with sawdust and we will take care of the rest. The end result? After a year of composting, the mixture turns into extremely rich and nutrient-dense soil that will go back to the land. If the toilet remains stinky, make a habbit of adding more sawdust! 2. We built these campsites with minimal earth disturbance. When you stay with us, take time to listen to the birds and feel the nature around you. Bird watchers love our glampsite! The peacefulness on our campsites is addicting. We hope that you agree and will come back one day with friends! 3. We use solar panels and battery banks to store electricity. The system has worked flawlessly but just in case we have a generator for back up. Message if you need extra power. 4. The neighborhood. Common sounds in the valley to be aware of are dogs, kids playing, chickens, and occasional evening music. There's a thriving business presence in the valley so you're likely to hear a chainsaw or see a landscape truck drive by. The valley typically quiets down around 10 pm with the exception of dogs in the valley that sometimes let their barks be known if they get excited at various scents of the wild, such as raccoons and opossums.

Stunning wilderness outpost
Nestled within the sacred eastern highlands of the Cherokee, Isaac and his family have created something special here and set the bar for "glampsites" I stay at in the future: perfectly remote, thoughtfully designed with all the amenities you need and nothing you don't. The "glamping" hospitality model is difficult to get right, but they nailed it. So many others attempt to build sites like this for the purpose of generating income, which is why I think the majority of them fall short. This site didn't feel forced, it felt like it belonged. Thanks for sharing it with me Isaac, I can't wait to return.
