A great spot to come and camp high up on a hill.  Pitch a tent and enjoy the solitude of camping in the middle of a hay field, under a huge oak tree.  In the middle of farm country. From time to time you may smell a little cow smell or hear/see a tractor drive past.  However, there is nothing greater than the smell of fresh cut hay in the summer breeze. Deer graze in the fields surrounding the house.

The Shack offers a peaceful retreat with stunning views and a cozy atmosphere. Visitors consistently praise the tranquility and natural beauty surrounding the cabin, making it an ideal escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The hosts, Jan and Dennis, are noted for their welcoming nature and add a personal touch to the experience. While the cabin is well-equipped, some guests suggest bringing extra cooking supplies if you're planning a feast.

An amazing setting and well built little cabin! Jan was generous about letting my younger son and his friend camp out in the feild while the adults stayed in the comfortable cabin. If you plan on cooking with more than one pan, (pasta, rice, etc) maybe bring your own stuff. Jan was very nice to bring us an extra pot for cooking since there was only one supplied. Better yet, just plan on grilling on the Blackstone grill which we’d never had the good fortune of doing before this, but it’s a perfect accompaniment to the well appointed cabin. The land is incredibly beautiful and quiet and we’re only sorry we didn’t get a chance to see more of it while we were there. Next time we want to check out the farm and the livestock! Thanks for such a great family weekend!

Best campsite!
We really enjoyed our one night stay at Jan’s property, despite the rain! She took us to the campsite and made us feel right at home. The campsite is awesome, big open sunny field all to ourselves. Beautiful mountain views and a sky full of stars. We will definitely be coming back!

A beautiful and quiet get away.

The scenery beautiful and the shack is cozy with pretty much all the necessary appliances and refrigerator. The outhouse was very clean and there was free wood to use. Jan was very welcoming and kind. I would go there again and recommend the place to anyone getting away from a busy life.
